NO! Do not over pressurise it, if it's is still intact you could well blow the internal diaphragm. It should have a charge pressure on the expansion vessels data label, if not try and find out from the installation manual or the manufacturer, if you really can't find out, pressurise it to 1.5 bar. 1.5 bar is about 20 psi. If it starts doing the same thing again in a short space of time then the diaphragm is split/damaged and you'll need to replace the expansion vessel, it's not as uncommon as someone else suggested, I've changed loads over the last few years. Another quick test is to depress the Schrader valve on the expansion vessel while the system is still pressurised...if you get water out of it the vessel is definitely knackered.

You do realise that you can buy these brand new from Tidepool for this price don't you?

Let's be honest, that sentence would apply to 90% of Premiership footballers. People are generally academically inclined or physically, less often both. Footballers aren't paid for their IQ. So why be surprised if they act poorly, especially when they have a lot of money and not enough sense to handle it.

Really? It's sounding as though it may have been confusion and heat of the moment reactions. I'm not convinced JT would have played for and captained England last night if he was under serious investigation. As for what he is alleged to have said, you'll hear worse on any building site or school playground any day of the week. It may not be right, but the response has been disproportionate. All that's potentially needed (if guilty) is an apology, a witch hunt is not needed but no doubt our perfect press will continue with one.

A 28" semi auto will be (roughly) the same length as a 30" O/U or SxS, so if you have a 30" semi it's about the length of a 32" O/U etc, etc. I use a 30" O/u at clays, but have used a 28" Benelli Super Black Eagle and they're very comparable in feel, I would buy a 28" or 26" gun personally, probably a 28 but would have to handle both to decide.

So many answers to that line... ...but to keep it clean for once, I doubt it would cause an issue. It's not the most dynamic form of shooting, long periods of sitting around followed by a burst of action...if you're lucky. They reckon that you should shorten your barrel length by 2" when buying a semi auto, so you have currently have the equivalent of a 32" barrelled gun. If that's not an issue then no worries. It's not like you'll be walking through woodland getting the gun snagged all the time.

Good old days my ****! Trying to find a working phone box, trying to keep enough change in my pocket to make as many calls as required in a day, trying to keep my temper after being moaned at for how long it's taken to make that call from being paged!!!! As for never using traders if you have to call a mobile, you've limited yourself to companies who run an office...therefore they must have higher overheads and as such need to charge you more to actually do the job...than the man who is working out of his van and a mobile. Congratulations, you've saved pennies to spend pounds more.

So would there be any difference in mix for SVO as opposed to WVO and if so why?
-
Yes mate, it is now Surrey Guns...that WAS a good few years ago that it was Dees!!!
-
SO obvious when you work it out...I won't tell you how long it took though!!! Sellafield.

'bout bloody time, maybe we'll get a duck migration started at some point!

I believe WMO may well be illegal, it would appear that some people are using it though, further investigation has caused me to eliminate it from the options. (Apparently it's became illegal as people were using it to disguise red diesel, how naughty!) I would run this with a flat plate heat exchanger to eliminate the winter running issues, people are reportedly still running 70% veg oil in the winter with a heater.
-
Just wondering who is using it? What are you using? Anyone have any specific thoughts regarding a Mk1 Pajero 2.8td and running it on alternative fuels. Finally thoughts on WMO (waste motor oil), as usual with regard to all of the aforementioned, the internet is full of useful information, much of it contradictory!!! So first hand experience is what I'd like to hear.

"Oh you're so funny." I said "Yeah"...but I can't see anyone else smiling in here. I paid my respects today, having a step son in training at Catterick makes it all the more relevant. ...and I ride a rice burner.

They're all plenty accurate enough. If they aren't grouping well it's more likely a problem with the operator than the gun.

...and what he may take will still only be a drop in the ocean compared to what the professional outfits manage. We had a block of 24 flats pretty much stripped of copper, much of the risers in 42, 35 or 28 mm as well as the flats in 22 and 15 all gone over a weekend. Served the developer right too. They were too tight to properly secure the building and paid for it! Another similar development in the same area was well fenced and padlocked, alarmed scaffold plus security cameras and alarms linked to the Police, wasn't touched. Cost of security, £3500. Cost of lost copper nearly £7000 plus labour to refit.

Nah, they just take them in as is to the less scrupulous dealers and accept that instead of 30 each they'll only get 20 but no questions asked.

Must admit that I read that and thought 'Yeah, right!'. Probably another urban myth much like the Golf Tdi was as fast as the same Golf GTi of the time, like Hell it was! (Yes I did own a GTi.)

Same fix as for the Discovery by the looks of it. Has anyone tried 'chipping' a Shogun/Pajero? Certainly with Discoverys it improves fuel economy and smoothness while also improving performance.
-
It could just be a sticky throttle of course, but the self fuelling problem is the one that scares everyone.

Nice, and a great view of them off Beachy Head.

There is a small area of marsh, better known as The Wash, seems fairly popular.
-
Not a cat in Hells chance am I signing that. Some people get to abuse their expenses, some use the company vehicle privately or maybe put a few fuel bills through they shouldn't, others maybe don't work the hours they book etc, this is one of the few remaining perks of the building trades and I'll do nothing to hasten it's demise. Rather than penalising the majority, they'd be better off identifying and dealing with the unscrupulous dealers rather than those dealing in genuine scrap.

It's for this same reason that I've done away with my 'big' motorbikes. My ZX-10 would do 102 mph in 1st gear and be well beyond double the speed limit as you changed into third...it was a 6 speed box!!!! Just too easy and too much temptation on the road, I took it to Germany where I had an indicated 328km/h! It makes them unuseable on the road if you decide to choose life! I now leave the hooning to track and tend to bimble on the road.

That'll be 'Deliverance' then, slightly weird film IMO, but has some great moments.
