  2. Strokes feature in my families history as a result I am on aspirin and statins as a preventative measure, I look forward to and love beating and start proper on 21st. Take it easy and I wish you a speedy recovery Tim
  3. Is that figure purely firearm discharges or does it include Taser. I appreciate that a Taser is a S5 firearm but I remember reading a while ago that a similar figure included 70 odd Taser discharges which included training mistakes/ND's.
  4. I cant argue with the above comments we do live in rip off Britain, I was purely trying to draw attention to a fold up chair that looked substantial for back suffers, I have not tried yet but soon will look for an alternative supplier. I often buy specialist fishing tackle from the USA and after paying shipping and taxes/duty it still works out much cheaper than UK sourced items.
  5. This looks like an interesting chair if you are a back suffer like me, not cheap but not over priced either. https://www.frontrunneroutfitters.com/en/be/camping-gear/chairs-tables/front-runner-expander-chair.html
  6. My lab was bitten July last year although I never saw a snake the vets were happy that it was an adder bite, he was rough for a couple of days but made a full recovery. Tim

  10. Thanks for the replies we have seen reds on the side of the A11 at Elveden and on STANTA, but I have never seen them this close to Norwich it must have caused a lot of damage to whatever struck it. Tim
  11. Hi all, Yesterday I was on the A47 heading towards Brundall, between the A11 slip and the Hertford park and ride slip, on the near side by the layby there is a dead deer, my wife saw it but I missed it (outside lane) she said that it looked like a red deer, on the way back it was nearly dark and there was certainly a large animal there but I could not see it very well, has anyone else seen it and could they confirm if it was a red deer. Many thanks Tim
  12. Nokia 3310 has been re-launched old style/retro phone with Bluetooth, how robust it is I don't know but they always seemed pretty strong. Tim
  13. Mothers Power Plastic headlight lens restorer is what I have just used it cost £9.99 per 8 oz bottle, Mothers also sell a kit which was £28.00 it included the same size bottle that cost 9.99 and two M3 polishing pads, I just used the liquid polisher with an electric drill and some wool polishing discs. My MOT is Fri and the polisher works very well.
  14. Sorry its a copy and paste to a link, but this may be of interest. https://www.ipcc.gov.uk/news/deputy-chair-sarah-green-statement-following-terrorist-attack-london
  15. In the early days of the ARV's weapons were left in the car this was seen as a comprise i.e. uniformed police officers with an armed capability. Weapons could only be removed on authority of a senior officer who was not at the scene and would act on the information given to him, in a rapidly changing incident this was unacceptable. However, times have changed since then there is no quicker response than drawing a gun from its holster. Last Saturday 8 police officers from 2 forces fired 46 shots at 3 terror suspects/murders clearly wearing some sort of explosive vests I personally do not think that was excessive force, just my views.
  16. There is not the deterrent now thieves are not scared about being caught, I hope this link works it shows a cycle thief in London in broad daylight. Tim http://www.cyclingweekly.com/videos/watch/watch-incredible-moment-a-brazen-thief-tries-to-steal-a-bike-off-the-back-of-a-moving-car
  17. Hi. Have a look at some of the knife Makers forums such as British Blades or Edge Matters I am sure you will find someone on there who would re grind the blade for you or offer advice, the only issue I see is I believe that blades are ground then heat treated, then sharpened I don't know whether regrinding would damage the heat treatment or ultimately the blade strength. Best of luck Tim
  18. As per title looking to buy a Hardy 10' fibalite coastmaster spinning rod, would consider a 9' model.
