  1. I got mine from Mitton Hall, very good and the price was good (picked them up at shows. Could do with larger clamps though.
  2. Both cracking pics, i've only ever seen two GSW in my garden in 5 years. Don't think i'll sit and wait with the camera!
  3. Cracking pic, what camera/lens do you use?
  4. Welcome along mate, good to see a young en taking up the sport! If you need any tips just ask. They'll be plenty of help on here.
  5. Its said that lapwing numbers are in decline, so you should be glad you've got so many of them! They have one of the best and most distinctive calls of any bird! Its amazing what decoys can pull. I remember when I saw my first buzzard. Me and my mate were decoying over some winter drilling when we saw a dot high in the sky but dropping rapidly. It got to within 30ft above the decoys and must have realised what they were and flew off and landed furhter down the hedgeline. It was an amazing sight!
  6. I've heard of the RR club. Is it down Sinfin Lane? What disciplines is shot there?
  7. If the Brocock was too light a LR90 will be (LR=Light Rifle!). Having said that they are a good gun. I've got a huntsman Mk2 which was made around the same time as the LR90, I also knew a a couple who had them and they were good guns. But £350 for a gun which could be 15+ years old is a bit pricey.
  8. I'm not bad thanks mate, thats a quality air rifle you've got. Is it .177 or .22?
  9. Nice set up mate, how long did it take to build?
  10. Nice pic, I saw one when I was in Devon visiting the Mother in Law, beautiful bird (the egret, not the MIL!!).
  11. Thats a nice piece of taxidermy. Its an unusual head, where was it shot?
  12. I'd always check the power as you say, you never know why you may come in to contact with the Police whilst using it (as I'm sure most of you have read in the shooting press of shooters getting stopped). If its modern as well then it should be anti tamper, so (in theory) can't have been played with. P.S Ando, are you Mark from from dog training (i'm Leigh)?
  13. Hi Red beard, which club(s) are you a member of? I recall a bell target club was set up recently in the Melbourne area. I always say i'll go along as I think it could be good fun........but have't got round to it yet.
  14. Hello, do you ever need beaters? or help with feeding round, i'm not far from Ripley.
  15. I have to say thats a lovely looking goldie!
  16. As the old saying goes "labs are born half trained.........spaniels die half trained" Guess what i've got Although I've got a hankerin for a spaniel!
  17. I say because you appear to post that Reds and yellows are different colours (like black and chocolate for instance) but they are both yellow (just different shades.
  18. Good luck matey, let us know how it goes! I love going to pick a new dog, just a shame my kennels are't bigger so I can do it more!
