  1. Hi, Got a speed load cartridge bag holds approx. 175 along with a pair of Deben electronic ear defenders & a pair of Napier light weight ear defenders. No longer loading and been sitting in my cupboard, need the space and want £60 posted for all three items, Napier still sell replacement plugs for the muffs, can't find my spare ones. B

  3. Could not find anyone in Scotland to beat Bromley, see below B https://www.facebook.com/Bromley-Son-Barrel-Blacking-Bluing-and-Browning-820775534655411/
  4. Wet dogs in the car is my problem, get some silica cat litter and fill up a couple of old socks and place them on the dash board at night time, they will absorbed the moisture and can be dried out using your microwave oven. B
  5. Enjoyed that got me itching to get out on the beach, SA barrel blended in nice way the reeds. B.
  6. Enjoyed that thanks, well remember my grouse beating days 30 odd years ago, just like that only difference was the guns never spoke to you, never had a driven day but am fortunate to have access to a wee bit of moor and took 3 brace off it this year. B.
  7. Aye so true they will make the whole of Scotland a national park and we would end up with shooting & game laws more stringent than Holland, a certificate for air rifles, come on a complete joke, they should stop listen and think for at least for a year before they act. So bring on the next vote and we boot out that Lonnie party and get back to being a United Kingdom, after all the UK is a small nation and long may it remain that way. B.
  8. After 10 years and still the same drivel being spouted, I am fed up with them to my back teeth. They are like a spoiled brat never got what they wanted and keep nagging for it until they get what they want. I have asked them about the Beatrice offshore wind farm project, £2.1b and what does they UK fabrication yards get out of it? Very little Poland and Spain 90% of the fabrication work, we have yards lying empty, skilled people on the dole and the SNP bow to the financial backers to get the project built at the lowest cost optimum price to get the best returns for the overseas investment corporation in the shortest possible time and we the UK public will be paying the premium price for the power for the next 20 years, could go on and on about it. I be voting no again, oh yes and I think that a lot more will be heading the same way, split the UK and stay in Europe aye that will be right! B.
  9. Been there done that, get a lawyer who understands shooting and certs matters, had all of mine removed shotguns and rifles due to proceeding divorce 14 years ago, I knew the village policeman who took my weapons, just a precautionary measure and I would get them back no problem. I was lucky in that I had been deer stalking with a local lawyer before and I went to him. Well end result judge stated no case to answer and everything returned to the tune of £850 lawyers bill and I am afraid you may have to go down that route. As for keys my best shooting friend past away at home in his chair, lived alone and the same local policeman had called me asking if I could assist taking his dog which I did, they asked me about his gun cabinet keys and if I knew were they where kept, all I could say was no even though I had a good idea of the place they may be kept. Well three days later they found them. This was before Police Scotland was formed so good luck and a good lawyer is required. B.
  10. Yes you can shoot the old bar only problem is a long walk as no car access, in the good old days had access into the culbin forest to get access to the old bar. B.
  11. Use mine on the shoot as said first gear is the crawler, pulled my trailer 225kg of water on board up hill no problem and with a good set of 4x4 tyres will do most things required off road, had mine now 2 years and only issue was head lamp fogging up and got a new one under warranty. B
  12. Here's a wee web site showing them http://gunsyn-gundogs.org.uk/Gunsyn/The_Bracco.html
  13. Try Allangrange the keepers might set you up with a day. http://www.gunsonpegs.com/shooting-uk/scotland/ross-shire/allangrange-estate_3064
  14. Mine is a fixed choke and love it, will handle 3" mags as well though I would not put many through it! B.
  15. Same here fished water aid when working for Scottish Water, had a few bashes at Rutland was a far trip from Inverness but enjoyed it, now-a-days I just fish for wild trout and don't bow bash any more. B.
  16. Permit system works for Montrose Bay why not Findhorn? Was a committee member over 30 years ago and we wanted a permit system then, I don't shoot it anymore, why cause sick of fowlers walking past you to get further out not knowing the tides would push them back in. So I don't want a ban just some control to stop the cowboys. B.
  17. I sold my silver pigeon due to the wood swelling, top lever would not open sometimes could see day light between the wood and metal, got rid and bought a silver hawk, more than happy with the weight difference and easier to carry all day on a walked up, fitted a recoil pad to my as sometimes put 3" mags through for the odd goose or two. B.

  19. Went to Australia 2 years ago, nothing cheap over there. Wife just been back over last month again to visit daughter and brought me back a tee shirt and that's about it! B.
  20. I was a committee member of the club over 25 years ago and we tried to get a permit system going, never happened and I stopped shooting there a long time ago, nothing worse sitting out in a gutter to have some idiot walk right pass you and try to get closer to the geese on the roost. As far as I am concerned should be controlled same as the Montrose basin. Not that long ago a chap was charged with shooting rooks in the same area so I would be very careful if any of you out there are planning a Findhorn trip. B.
  21. Another way of using raisins was to punch holes into snow banks with a bottle and put a trail of raisins in to the hole birds will eat into the hole but can't get back out, just pull them out like corks out of a bottle. Also use peanuts as ear defenders, coat the nut in chocolate to make the seal and pop them in to you lug holes, when finished after shooting, just remove them, they come out a treat! B.
  22. Aye the SNP will be responsible for the next Highland Clearances! Have blotted the land scape with wind farms all supplied from overseas not one part manufactured in the UK and in 20 years time who will be responsible for them? I don't like Donald Trump but he is right on the wind farm issue, just try and get a hill road planning permission for a grouse moor, nae chance but a wind farm nae bother? B.
  23. It was first used Nordic countries and they have stopped installing it now as they are finding that UFH can lead to arthritis in the feet due to being constantly warm, so I would do some research on it. B
