  1. Just because Woodpigeon appear on the General licenses doesn't mean they don't have a degree of protection. You still need to abide by the conditions of the license to stay within the law, of course.
  2. It'll just be std postage to the UK, mate. 4m X 2m sounds a decent size for a hide. If you can do that for £20 posted, i'll have some.
  3. Is this for collection only, or can you post some? I'd be looking for maybe 4m X 4m.
  4. I had a .22lr first, then went for .17hmr. I've now sold the hmr and kept the .22. Part of the reason was that i've just got a .22-250, and didn't particularly see the need for 3 rifles. Another part was that the hmr is badly affected by the wind anything over 100 yards. The .22 just suits my shooting better, with most of my shots being between 30-70 yards, and our permissions are windy 90% of the time.
  5. Cheers bud - Thanks for a smooth deal
  6. Shouldn't the headline read: "How to outsmart two pigeons"? Kidding - Was a good read!
  7. Branchers were about in Early March last year... must have been the mild winter. I remember shooting well over a hundred rooks in a few hours one year. Would have got more but ran out of pellets!
  8. They're stubby little 12g blank cartridges. They make the same blast noise, but not the supersonic BOOM of a loaded cartridge.
  9. 6 miles, 18 miles and 25 miles. Wish there was one a bit closer. The 6 mile one is a golf course virtually uncontaminated with rabbits!
  10. Open from initial application up here!
  11. I can't even view the video... thumbnail comes up, but doesn't play!
  12. I'm surprised it's still relatively in one piece!
  13. I've had one guy PM me to say he'll take it, but had no payment as yet. First to stump up the cash will get it!
  14. If you add on a tenner for postage, yeh.
  15. Leather Cartridge Bag - Dark brown colour leather - Used just the once. Holds over 100 cartridges. Need money for my moderator, so selling all the gear I don't use!! Looking for £30
  16. I have a brand new (But no box) Camo umbrella thingy which - with the included spike and straps - attaches to a tree, or alternatively sits in front of the shooter... pics below hopefully. Looking for £20
  17. That's pretty much the combo i've settled on : .22lr , .22-250 and 12g shotgun. I got rid of the .17hmr mainly because of the way it's affected by crosswinds. Anything over 80 yards in a stiff wind, and it was all over the place. The .22lr would hold zero better in the same circumstances. I liked the hmr, but it didn't have a place after I got the .22 CF.
  18. My dad died of a couple of massive strokes a few years back. 5 months ago, my mum had a small one which really knocked her confidence. She's back to 90% normal now, but she still has the odd problems finding the right word for some things. Sometimes it just takes a bit of time for the brain to get working properly again. Hope it works out.
  19. Bit late maybe, but I got a Laksen Stag jacket in the Sportsman Gun Centre sale. Must say for £40 (reduced price) it's a bargain. Very cosy, but not sweaty. Nice soft and quiet outer material aswell.
  20. Have you tried knocking on the farms' doors that have the pigeon problems? Probably the most direct route to gaining shooting, mate.
  21. Always good to have a mix of trees and open areas. Might get some roost shooting there
  22. Got a 12 bore Pedretti if that's any good? In the gun sales section.
