  1. No, I wasn't suggesting that mate. It would be so easy to be tempted by a cheap or free couple of shotguns. I'd even suggest you give her the phone number of your force FLO. Worst case scenario for you is that you don't get the guns. I'd rather see that than anyone have their SGC revoked, or worse. Let us know how it pans out... I'd be interested to hear the outcome.
  2. You should probably find out exactly what the story is then... Too many variables at the moment to give thoughts on what may or may not happen. Personally though, if they're only on the ex's ticket, they're 100% his responsibility to deal with. Leaving them alone with somebody else having access is a bit silly though. (If that's the scenario)
  3. Depends on which scenario is the right one I suppose! If it's not number one, then technically nobody else should have access to the guns or cabinet keys. I'd say this one might be a question for the Firearms dept. If the husband still wants them, then they still belong to him. Anybody taking them may be guilty of 1. Theft of a firearm and 2. Illegal possession of a firearm. You don't wanna be taking solutions off a forum for this one, mate.
  4. The old "Carrot-on-a-stick" approach might work...
  5. How much for postage on one, mate?
  6. Go into a gunshop and ask them to show you how a 12g O/U and a 12g Semi auto dismantle. I'm sure after you've seen that, you'll realise how simple it is. Then you can buy a 30" soft or hard guncase and carry the gun around dismantled in your boot. An O/U takes literally 5 seconds to dismantle to components of barrel, action and fore-end, and another 5 seconds to re-assemble. Your muscles will soon "Learn", and won't ache after a few weeks of use. It's just that holding a shotgun uses muscle groups your body won't be used to.
  7. I've never seen anything other than an 8 shot mag for these rifles. I have a Brno 581 with 2 mags. You can buy one if you like, but it might need taken to bits and cleaned. It works, but when it has only one round in it, it seems a bit loose. It's never jammed because of this, but as I say, could prob do with a cleaning. Going rate seems to be £25 posted, so if that's any good, gimme a shout.
  8. How much out of interest, mate?
  9. Try here: http://www.shootforum.com/forum/sfmap.html
  10. Got a non-notched, non-swivel Harris 13 - 23" (I think!) Genuine Harris though. PM me if it's any good.
  11. Only problem is that when the lamp is attached to the gun, you're effectively pointing your rifle at whatever you're shining light on. Apart from taking sensible precautions i.e. not chambering a round until ready to shoot, it's Fine lamping solo. If your rifle uses a moderator, you might get a touch of light "Feedback", blurring the image through the scope. This can be easily remedied, though.
  12. May consider swap for another shotgun or air rifle... Wotcha got?

Life is one big coincidence ain't it? But if it didn't happen on this planet, it might have been Mars or Venus... who knows. Humanity really knows virtually nothing about the solar system's other planets let alone the galaxy or indeed the universe. Sit back and relax. You're only here for a short time, so let the boffins worry about where we "Came from"!
  14. I have this Franchi Hunter semi-auto shotgun in 12g. Haven't had it for long, but long enough to realise it doesn't fit me! 3/4 choke 70mm chamber 27" barrel Recoil operated Took 30 odd shots to down just half a dozen birds which just ain't me. Cycles 100% of the time with 28g or over, and most of the time with 24g. I've done some work on the stock and metalwork, bit of tru-oil etc. The fore-end has had a hairline crack at some stage in it's life which has been repaired and holds well. The odd dink here and there, usual for this age of gun. Looking for £150 Can RFD for an additional £30
  15. I think some people have a hunting instinct, some don't. Those that don't just enjoy the sport for what it is. Nowt wrong with that... I enjoy both live and clay shooting, but the clays led to live shooting because I didn't have land to shoot over in the beginning.
  16. Sleeping bag? Seriously though, got any photos of the shotgun? I had a single barrel Pedretti 12g for a while but found using subs in a std shotgun weren't much louder.
  17. That's it in a nutshell. To maximise your chances, i'd choose cylinder and cylinder for skeet (Skeet and skeet if you have them) purely because all the targets are relatively close. Normally though, i'd put in full and half. Full for the further shots, half for the closer ones. Best bet though, is just to choose 1/2 - 3/4 and leave it in all the time.
  18. £50 for cut and re-thread on my .22-250. Proofing extra.
  19. Are these gone? Was looking for Sunday tickets if there were any going spare?
  20. Any tickets left for the SUnday mate?
  21. I'm going on Sunday. Hopefully it won't be as muddy as the last time! Where are these free tickets? Lol
  22. First pistol: Harrington Gat First rifle: Crosman A*I*R*17 :look: First "Proper" rifle: Weihrauch HW80 First PCP: Titan Manitou
