  1. Short answer is no, livestock need to be in distress at a dog off the lead, being chased or attacked or having been chased or attacked. The presence of a dog on a lead (or in the next field) is not counted as stressful. Farmers use their sheep dogs to round up sheep all the time (including when with lambs and heavily pregnant), the sheep are stressed by this activity but the farmer ignores it as neccessary to manage the flock, and the stress effects of your dog several fields away or on a lead are nothing near this level.
  2. Apparently Charles Lancaster started off with 3\4oz but pressure reliability issues meant he very quickly moved to 7\8 as the standard loading.
  3. It you had an old style dial meter, you would get the same rate for export as import which would be better than what you get with a SMART meter, whose sole purpose is to allow control by the electricity suppliers over price and connections.
  4. If you want shotgun firing of slugs and various items, little to beat Taofledermaus on Youtube.
  5. A decent video showing the energy dispersion of shotgun pellets and slugs on impact.
  6. There is a difference between worm eggs (in bird poo as the main risk) and botulism bacterial and toxins caused by rotting carcasses. The former are killed by pasturisation temperatures (70c), whilst the latter need 121c and 80c respectively.
  7. Any 12x mildot scope with a 40mm+ lens is likely suitable Probably nothing wrong with the scope you have but you are zero'd at the wrong range. For this job, re-zero your scope for 45 yards...... not the standard 25 yards. Chairgun works out the answer for the ballistics. How exactly do you manage to retrieve the corpses and how does this fit in with hygiene regs?
  8. I think I would get this one and get the spray MOD paint out for it. https://www.agrieuro.co.uk/geotech-car-300t-electric-battery-powered-wheelbarrow-40v-battery-6-ah-p-30150.html
  9. North Ayrshire shooting ground are now stocking Bornaghi.... The square load for the 28b is 21g, hence a lot of the reason the USA settled on it for 2 3\4 inch 'modern' guns from the 1920's onwards, whilst UK older\traditional guns were chambered in 2 1\2 inches. With the advent of antimony hardened shot, the square load became almost irrelevant and as long as recoil is not significant, using the full case volume is feasible.

Try the Stalking Directory forum, they are often put up their for sale.
  11. My photo was an Osprey on top of the tower
  12. One I was involved with had to be moved...
  13. Indeed, by concentrating on increasing the average American's lot by boosting the economy with trade and industry instead of starting wars to boost the economy through military spending he was starting to return the USA to sanity and hence the fear of him returning in 2024.
  14. There is not a gun shop around me that won't order any of their suppliers cartridge I want if they don't have it in stock. I may have to wait a few weeks but it is a guaranteed sale for the shop. Not ordering what you ask for is nothing more than shear laziness and short sightedness as guaranteed turnover is better than buying cartridges on speculation they will sell, but might not. The reason that some gunships flourish and others fade into obscurity is nearly always to do with customer satisfaction, ye olde shop with outdated stock, limited selection, and a take it or leave it attitude is destined for the dustbin. Although not inexpensive, the reason that Just Cartridges and others exist and thrive is to meet the demand that those "olde" shops can't be bothered to. You want 16g 28 bore, 24g 16 bore etc, etc they will have something or even a choice for you. Another good source is your local clay ground, who will often add your special order to their monthly cartridge order. Happy shopping!
  15. Well that is where all the farmers and supermarkets store them for 6 to 11 months of the year.
  16. If you don't mind the plastic wad, Fiocchi F28 24g 2.4mm (7.5it or no7 uk) are a decent cartridge, designed for clays but also really good on live game as well.
  17. ICC's looking more and more like another Steele dossier situation.... (I.e. make it up as you go along) https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/iccs-putin-arrest-warrant-based-state-dept-funded-report-debunked-itself
  18. Government created fiat fraud, taxes and money laundering..... in a free society individuals are free to choose how they transact.... a cashless society is simply about control.
  19. Done, but what made me chuckle was the Welsh language questions slipped in, like they are relevant to the consultation. I did confirm that the consultation no doubt continued the use of the Welsh language by encouraging no doubt quite a few Welsh swear words being said as people had to complete the questionnaire.
  20. Do you know Mark Wilson 9also of Burnley), I got my previous dog off him and was a good size? Limeylane, I think was his Kennel Club name
  21. Donbass, was once part of Ukraine but like Crimea doesn't want to be part of a corrupt Nazi state - and who in the world can blame them. But Ukraine wants it back and only things stopping them invading further was Russia being involved and even then Ukraine is prepared to kill a large portion of its population to try to recover the Donbass against all common sense.
