The fella with the promising cricket career was lying through his teeth I believe and got sent down?
  5. Mice!

    HOME CCTV

There was also a thread a bit ago about neighbours which brought up good info about CCTV, but not sure how to search to add a link
  6. Really surprised by this thread never really think of gun dog breads being aggressive, my pup is high octane with me but soft as you want with the kid's. What's the bet this dog had already snapped or bitten someone and they simply didn't tell. Hope you both recover well and quickly and find another dog to enjoy your lives
  7. If you just aim at the same point it will give you the drop and therefore the hold over you need probably not too much with you using a .177. As the young will be running about soon leave those to scamper about it gives the bigger bunnies confidence all is ok and will quite often charge through the young or suddenly just appear when your watching that robin
  8. Hi mate, what I would do is get some off cuts say 4*1 or similar put targets on them and position them at 20,30 and 40 yards don't aim at one point fire say 3 shots at 9pm centre and 3pm don't hold over for the 40, this will show you how much penetration your getting at the different ranges and also the drop at 40. I do use accupels but in .22 as for the range 40 yards should be ok so long as you know you can hit the mark but always the possibility you can get a runner so try not to be shooting at max range if there sat right by the burrow as they can jump run and drop when there down the hole.
  9. Have you read your posts back through fella? You say your rifle is putting out 1000 fps as standard, if it is your illegal I just looked at two sites and they don't say anything about that sort of power. Yes there are lots of things you can shoot with an air rifle but your not going to get people wanting you on there land when your talking about shooting at 60 yards and I said to look at the quarry list so you know what people do shoot with an air rifle. As stated above 500-600 fps for a .22 is in the right ball park I suggest you get yours checked Mice!
  10. Have you tried using an aerator on the lawn that might help the birds get at them?
  11. Didn't realise that they were that expensive must be another way of preying on old folk I get stuff from green gardener even there news letter quite good but £75 ouch. I will be trying the above methods tho because I know i have got some, the starlings seem to know when there near the surface though
  12. Have you had a look on green gardener website I know they see the neems just not sure if they do anything else Other option could be phone a professional lawn care company see what they say, may be able to spray it with something stronger
  13. Mice!

    FREE cars.

From what I remember you get a choice you can choose a car or receive a payment some people want the new motor with an upgrade but would probably be better off without the new motor
  14. Not everyone puts the birds away to moult, the season for demo and game fairs etc is just starting so people who do this will still be flying their birds but probably not hunting although someone on here posted his Harris hawks caught some squirrels few weeks ago. I have done a couple of experience days and they are magical to watch, always been a hawk fan but then I watched a falcon do her thing to the lure think attack helicopter vs fighter jet wow!
  15. I would suggest you have a read about air rifle quarry before you post anything else no one is going to entertain you if talking about shooting there pheasants, the idea is you watch him wander by then shoot the squirrel or rat taking the grain. Then go somewhere with a chrono and find out if your gun is legal as you will be in deep carp otherwise
  16. Weekdays would be great and if I was lots closer I would be asking lots of questions about where when how 👍 Thanks for the info Mice!
  17. One of the first things they told us and showed us as apprentices what happens when you get a ring or watch stuck on a lathe or milling machine, never worn my watch or wedding ring but still cringe when you see others with all sorts on there wrists 😫
  18. I'll bet that 40 acre field gets sprayed
  19. 😂 funny old pigeon popper, got fruit bushes and apples and a greenhouse still waiting for a base☹
  20. Mice!

    stirrup pump

I know what you mean old man but they do testing there as well, and I knew it wasn't far from where he lives
  21. Sounds like a good result but you realise that now you have to beat 40 next year ☺ I haven't seen a squirrel in the garden for weeks now so guessing there is plenty of food for them back in the woods, see plenty walking along the river. The extra land your being asked to shoot over is it still static shooting with the back stop? Curious is all hoping to get involved with the north west group controlling greys and think this is the route there trying to go to get land, bucks is a little far from lancs otherwise I would be asking if you wanted a hand 😉
  22. Might seem obvious but I would be careful following someone round in the dark if they are shooting, accidents can happen, I have been reading the fox club thread lately do you have night vision? I now picture foxes being stalked by special forces pops, if you have or you could borrow some night vision watch from a safe point where he is going and be waiting at his motor when he gets back, or if you know his name find out where he lives or drinks and pass a letter on to him explaining the change in ownership of the wood and how you wouldn't want to have to involve the police over his accidental armed trespass
  23. Did you hit your squirrel target then Bruno and treat yourself? Used to get this problem if my old fella had my rifle for a bit only thing I did was take the stock off give it a good wash and some furniture polish once dry

    stirrup pump

Hi ips I got my bottles filled last year at http://www.thedelph.com/ £3 each my bottles are both out of date and it was mentioned but they still filled them, shouldn't be far from you, I've also got a chrono if you need one at some point 👍
