It would be a much better idea if Carrie Johnson stayed with them, permanently.

I have been trying to find a definitive source to tell me the number of Bismuth shot/oz but all non-toxic seems to be lumped together with steel, which can’t be right. -

Unless you measure in grams! Yes, I looked at their chart as well. edit: they all kill ducks! -

I actually half agree with you. But I think the foreigners should be printing the standard form as 1 1/8 ounces of .110 inch lead. If they weren’t a pound each I would cut open a couple and have a count and a measure, but I’m a tight ***. -
Sorting some cartridges just now and I found these. Obviously a mixture from two different boxes because of the different colour printing. But both are Eley Grand Prix H.V. Bismuth No.5’s.......or are they. One states 2.8mm, as you would expect. But the other states 3.1mm? No wonder some people are confused! I’m not, I’m confused .com.

After 1925 the chamber length would have been shown in inches, rather than just 12C.

Question for any MOT testers on the forum

This. One look at that exhaust and I would replace it. -
Go for the carrier pigeon. When it’s knackered you can eat it.

You probably will have if you go for the cap!
-
What makes you think you could afford the baseball cap?

Most definitely. I do not mind the maker’s name tooled into the leather (I have Parsons, Conway and Croots) but I would not want anything emblazoned all over, even if it said Purdey. edit: anyway, quality company’s don’t cater for the poser market!
-
I would want the manufacturer to pay me for advertising his product if I walked about with his name plastered all over my gun slip.

How much would you pay for Simulated shooting?
London Best replied to LeedsZeppelin's topic in General Shooting Matters
Pretty much, yeah. But usually electric traps. -

Being from the US you maybe don’t understand, but the days the guys are on about are not just sporting clay shooting. This is “simulated” driven game, meant to be like an English driven game day throughout, but with clays. So all the hospitality should be included, hence the extra expense. It is actually nothing like game shooting, but most of the punters don’t realise that! -
£140 for a cheap looking nylon slip. You’re nuts.

Real game! -
Looks like a collet drawbar to fit through the headstock of a small lathe.

I rate it as a ten minute job, but it always P’s me off because it takes three times that.

All L BSA’s are .177 and run about 5.5 - 6 ft lbs. They were a light/ladies/youth air rifle. They are perfect for bell target shooting. Early Airsporters were not really meant to produce more than the 10 ft lbs that yours did, but odd exceptions did vary. They were made before the obsession with 12 ft lbs began. In those days most people were unaware of the U.K. legal limit thing.

I would not let a gunsmith rejoint a gun for me. What you need is a gunmaker. There is (usually) a World of difference.

If you can even FEEL a 750kg tow you need a better tow vehicle! That is so light it does not even need to be braked.
