  1. The language used is Malaysian as is the writing.
  2. Politicians, Policemen, teachers to name but three.
  3. One odd method I found gave me some bonus birds: Leave the dog home. Find an area thats been flattened for whatever reason into the field itself, sit on the floor with a little bit of overhead cover, or not if a lot of birds, shoot as they pass over. Good for an hour or so or untill the cramps get you.
  4. and now you have a smile on your face and £20 lighter. 😇🤣🤣
  5. Even if you have them on camera and hand the footage to the police, you need to take it or send it as they'll not come out, all you'll get is they don't know them so no investigation just have a crime number.
  6. In my experience ALL steel made in China is made from cheese. Sooner we stop buying their muck the better.
  7. Last time I went into my nearest city centre, was around 1995. I went to meadowhell once also, but that's way out of the city centre, I think that might have been late 80s.
  8. Is it gossip? What are they saying? 😁
  9. Wasn't sure about going today as "the big storm" is forecast. Looked out the window about 0730, coming light and weather fair. Quick pack of car and on perm just before 0900. Monday farmers working every field and 100s of birds flying. Today not a bird in sight anywhere. Legs not very strong today and a hospital appointment at 1600 so I knew it wouldn't be a long day. Decided against any of my permanent hides or walking so set up on the edge of the farm machinery, car just a few feet away. I'd taken 12 half shells and springy sticks. Set up a rough pattern in the freshly seeded field, seeds and acorns all showing. This is where it became strange, first bird in, small single magpie. Next a buzzard, probably a 3 foot wingspan, dropped onto my decoys and tried to take one. Flew off fast once it realised. After that it was steady crow after crow, odd singles and sometimes as many as five at a time. All committed and landing into my pattern. I hit two and as reloading a third landed, unfortunately too slow to hit it on the ground I hit it going away and it's mate as it came from behind me. Packed up around 1130 for around 30 shots fired and 12 crows, 1 magpie picked. 2 crows added to pattern. 1 magpie out to right.
  10. Since I retired (2017) my day starts between 0530 and 0630. After a lifetime of being up at early O'clock I can't break the habit. Feed and walk my doggies, rarely do I see anyone and that suits me. Home and do breakfast for me and the boss and watch as many minutes as I can stomach of breakfast tv news. Rest of the day depends on hospital/drs appointments or visits. If its a shooting day pack the car. If not maybe potter around in my workshop mending or making. Nap in the afternoon if not out shooting and sometimes my biggest decision is what to do for tea.

  13. Near to me, there was the Hare & Hounds, now houses. The Deerstalker, now a trendy gym, The Sportsman, now a Co-op.
  14. Wow, I don't get that many in a month. Well done 👏 ✔️
  15. Brick on a string, hang out of window: If it's wet: Raining If it's dry: Sunny If it's missing: Gale force winds 🤣🤣 Gotcha!
  16. I thought you still had a brick on a string?
  17. I don't know, I've seen worse that had takers in many "military" towns.
  18. No worries, thought it worth a mention on safety grounds
  19. Those tiles: are very similar or maybe the same as laid in my house which was built in the 60s. If they are, they contain asbestos. If cracked, broken or removing need a specialist remover and disposal.
  20. This one: is a Para smock, if its in fair condition it would do better on ebay, you'd probably get £50 - £80.
  21. It'd be my luck for rain as I'm coming to Norfolk for 10 days end of October. Better pack the wax jacket😁
  22. My old 200Tdi engine, complete with gear box is currently in a series 2a with portal axles owned by Paddock Spares in Matlock. My Disco 2 was last seen for sale on a forecourt in Louth but is currently T & T'd. All I know is there were literally 100s of cages of various parts including chassis all stored outdoors. There was a park area containing unsold Range Rovers covering several acres. The entire place was a huge dissapointment to me.
