Chard
I was down at my Mum's in Kent at the weekend and we were rummaging through a load of old sheeeeeyte. We found these old photos of some young thin bloke with some fish :( 20lb 4oz Cod off the beach at Herne Bay back in the '70s Same fish. Been up all night. Very knackered - not really miserable Cod of 10lb or so and a little 'un off the beach. The big 'un again, and a little 'un. The silverware for the big 'un. Scooped a lot of gear for that one Starting to put weight on here. Started to drink Guinness Laaaaaaaarf, I nearly ****

Sadly, very rare now. You occasionally hear of a biggun but very scarce now. Even small ones seem to be cause for celebration now

Whitebridges
Thas a real bootie Chard! No fishy's like that in the Mersey? Rory Gallagher used to wear a check shirt just like that mate. Halcyon days in the 70's from the Kent beaches like Dungeness. The Norfolk / Suffolk beaches used to chuck up a few good un's. We used to take several fertilizer sacks with us to carry the fish back.
