ChrisAsh
As it says on the tin. Most of you probably have had more than one shotgun; and I guess all of you who havn't spent more than £5000 on a shotgun, have an opinion on what they would like to buy within that price range Just list the two guns you would like or recommend and the reason why you think it's the best

utectok
Second hand beretta any 680 series you can get for less than 1k second hand perrazi mx8 also under 5k always remember someone on here said in a couple of seasons you will end up spending more on comp fees and carts and fuel than your gun costs so get the best you can afford ! I'll often order as much in carts as my gun cost gulp!!!

whiskymac
£5000 Having got to try a handfull of carts through one last sunday I would say a DT10. Stunningly pretty gun. £1000 MK38 (second hand/grade 1). But then I've only shot a handfull of guns to be fair.
ChrisAsh
For myself very happy with my Bettinsoli, had it a year now and like the feel and especially the engraving For the <£5000 Maybe a Krieghoff of some sort, not to worried about the grade but really like some nice engraving. The guns like 686E or Blazer F3 do nothing for me with their plain box, they may be great guns but functional where as I feel guns should be a thing of beauty Edited April 7, 2010 by ChrisAsh

starlight32
5k gets you a new EELL, or if you look around maybe an S05/Jubilee or similar. Typically 5k is for the wood and engraving, with a DT10 you are getting a well balanced clay busting machine. There is no engraving on the action unless you get a DT10 EELL, which I think are a beautiful gun but come in at around 8 or 9k. As for the MK38 a grade 1 it should be less than a grand second user, I bought a brand new MK70 multichoke with game scene engraving for £975 the other week. Hardwoods Green
Under £1000 definately an Mk38, you just cannot buy better for the money Under £5K certainly not a DT10, I sold my DT10L last year because it recoiled like no other gun I've ever owned and was just to whippy, then the bottom ejector started playing up and that was it. Sold it for more than I paid for it. Am seriously thinking about a Blaser F3 Proffessional II which I feel is a much better put together and finished gun than the DT10. Will never sell my MK though!
