Lovely common

I haven't been carp fishing for years, used to finish work Friday lunchtime and be out till Sunday night, those were the days.

Jon.

I believe this is also the fishing pattern of my Bro. Friday night straight from work until Sunday night.

Thanks for stating its a common as I know there are different types.

Regards

No way. Do people really eat carp?:hmm:?:look:????

Thats what the chinese originally bred them for and the reason why Medievel Monks introduced them to Britain.

Carp are one of the few fish that aren't really stunted by being kept in small areas of water. Most fish will grow to a size that suits their environment but Carp just keep going. That's why we have Goldfish and Koi (both in the Carp family) in domestic ponds. Before refrigeration and modern transport it was the only way to have fish to eat if you lived inland. Carp were the best producers of meat in small moats and ponds in the grounds of the wealthy.

:good:
