ST3V3
well looks like my season has been cut short this year rifles and shot guns are going to be gathering dust for the next couple of months. Yesterday at work we found a new parking space for the fork lift truck but i suppose my foot and ankle wasn't the ideal place for it to be parked

njc110381
Sounds nasty. How much damage did it do? Simple break or nasty crush? I know it's amazing what weight can be driven over you before it does really serious damage but forklifts are heavy ******* and the tyres are hard which doesn't help! Hope it's not too serious?! Mrs Sweepy
I really feel for you, babes I used to be a fork lift driver (that always make my lot giggle) The worse i ever did with one was too tip it over. We used to have fork life racers. But i suppose that would be a big no no now xxxxSuzy

Scully
How's the truck? No ,seriously, sorry to hear that.I drive a fork-lift truck as part of my job and they can be pretty numb things.Turning circles can catch out the unwary..witnessed a 'crush' incident up againsta steel girder once, but it wasn't too serious thankfully. Think of the compo....new gun! When I broke my ankle I developed a taste for one day cricket! So it could be worse! Hope you're back at it before too long. activeviii
Sorry to hear about the tire pattern in you foot sir, if my brothers anything to go by then you'll come good soon enough. my brother had a very similar thing with a fork lift. a youngster driving it and was going at things like a bull in china shop, only thing was he got a little to close to my brother and hit the wrong peddle. brother tried to jump out the way but not high enough, foot went into the wheel arch and then rolled over. this tore the foot off and snapped all the bones in the ankle. he said at the time if he had a gun then he would have used it on himself as the pain was that bad. what made it worse was when the docs has to find a blood supply to tie it back in so the was a blood flow the the foot or he would loose the foot. this was done without any sort of anesthetic. it took him a long time to recover and was told he wouldn't walk again as there was to much damage. he was a roofer so that messed things up a bit. anyway, a while later he was back on the roofs doing what he loved. stuck it out for a few years but now he's given it all up. he doesn't need the money but loves working so he is going to start buying houses doing the job on them and renting them out. he walks with a limp and it plays him up in winter but he is walking with all his own limbs all the best and hope you heal quick matey. ST3V3
well theres no broken bones god knows how. foot and ankle are a funny shape still cant stand on it hopefully physio might help which i have latter today as for a claim not sure if theres 1 to be made it was a genuine accident if there is a claim to be made will it backfire on me as health and safety is part of my job. if I go to the no win no fee guys I think they will say there is a claim but will they be intersted in the repercutions it causes?
