njc110381
I used to shoot a HMR. A 16" CZ American with a Sak mod and Leupold scope. I used to get easily under an inch every time excluding the odd flyer and on a still day often the group could be covered with a penny. The best I've ever seen was my mentor shooting my new rifle at the range. Three holes touching at 100 yards! :o The only ammo I used in my HMR was 17grn Remington. Came in a gold laballed clear box and had a gold plastic tip but can't remember the name. After my mentor threw in that group the first day the rifle was used I never bothered to try anything else! al4x
about the same here with a cz, under an inch if I do my part and that's with any ammo I've tried. Currently on bluetips as well
SilentKill
Cz's seem to be the most popular! with the Blue tip rounds! Pick up my CZ tomorrow, may just get some blue tip rounds !
al4x
people only buy them as they are usually cheaper
SilentKill
people only buy them as they are usually cheaper well if people are achieving the same accuracy then it makes sense !
Vermincinerator
Hi Mickey, i am getting sub 1" 5 shot groups @ 100yds with federal ammo out of my CZ varmint but i have only got a few left and i cant get any locally so will be swapping to Hornady blue tips which during my initial ammo tests only shot slightly worse then the federal. al4x
referring to what? long story with Fister not getting on with HMR's I've got one that he lost faith in and have to say its killed rather a lot since then but I do less on paper and more fluffy things with it

jamie g
i use to get some very good groups with my annie 1517 hmr and federal ammo. but at times found the hmr abit inconsistant thats down to factory ammo though. if you buy some ammo and its grouping well go back to shop and buy your ticket qoute from same batch. i did like the rifle but dont think i would buy one again. inless it was at a bargain price :yp:
Ian750
At the risk of boring you senseless with another similar post, I'm also getting sub 1" groups at 100yds with my CZ American 16" with scirocco mod, using Hornady blue tips. Paddy Galore!
i use a sako, when it works i can blow the bullseye out at 100m, any ammo seems ok, might adjust the scope to suit remis as they seem a bit quicker.

Quist
If I get an inch at 100yds from my CZ with blue tips, I'm pleased. In truth, it rarely comes out of the cabinet because I love my Sako .22 too much
