I think i only managed a 63 at Rufforth today but seeing some of the regulars scores maybe that wasn't too bad for me. I am looking forward to seeing the full score sheets 'cause it would appear to have been more difficult than i had thought.I thought it was just me.I then went onto the last shoot of the season for the Wensleydale league which was very entertaining as was the crack in the pub at the end. After 9 shoots i ended up top lady on 153 and second overall being beaten by just two clays  .Next year maybe. from Auntie.

Joined the CPSA on Tuesday and shot my first registered shoot today at Four Counties in Newbury with a friend. It was also our first 70 bird shoot. Managed to hit 42, which I was happy with, decided one round was just not enough :) so we went around again and I hit 57. I was over the moon with that :)

Nice to meet you chaps aswell, but sadly no I didn't shoot any better than you lads,I finished on a rather poor 63.

Seemed to miss more of the so called easy ones, not that any were easy in that wind, some decent scores there lads. That long incomer from on high was more of an eye test than shooting test!

Our squads highest was a couple on 80 they said a 77,73,68 my self 63 and to a low of 53 and a 52. 83 was highest when we left,

  • 2 weeks later...

An excellent shoot at Coniston today , with some good scores put in by Nicky ,a big ninety, well shot Nicky, an excellent 93 from Kevin Mayor and lots of high 80's from the northern lads, I only managed a 77, but was pleased with that as i found the shoot very enjoyable, with only a couple of stands where i let myself down.Good craick and good weather up here for a change, i'm sure some of the other lads present will be adding their feelings on the shoot later on. from Auntie.
