Spara Dritto
I cant get over how detailed some of this mans work is, 1). what are your thoughts, looks etc 2). how do you think it will effect the ballance of the gun? Love to hear other thoughts! Beretta Italy. http://www.joecummingsstudio.com/ Edited January 27, 2011 by Beretta Italy

gsm1968
It is an art. But not on a gun I've seen quite a few guns with carved stocks and they are ugly!

Spara Dritto
Thats the thing, i obviously wont get it done its probs hundreds but just was a thought about weight, i really love the art but as you say maybe it would suit a rifle better! what about weight? do you think it would effect it in anyway?
fuzrat
wouldnt affect weight that much, if it did just stick a bit of lead up the stock-bolt hole to balance it again Fuzrat

If you like the style have some of your leather goods done in the style - gun slip, cartridge bag, belt. it is standard us style leather deco. Not as expensive but may still be pricy, depending what you buy  D

CZ550Kevlar
I prefer the stock to be smooth, that detail would feel uncomfortable.
Spara Dritto
I prefer the stock to be smooth, that detail would feel uncomfortable. I couldnt emigan you would feel it would you? obviously the engraving will be on the oppsite side to your cheek mount no part of your body touches the oppsite side of the stock, although i did think of this originally! Welshways
Yes, very ugly, an American fad especially for rifles. I was once foolish enough to let one of these guys put an inlay in a Miroku stock for me. Hated it and sold the gun! OK for the back of a chair but forget it on any gun you want to keep! Gordon R
I might be out of step, but some of these stocks are superb. I would like one, but would worry about resale value. What are the chances of finding who liked the gun and the stock? Slim, I suspect. I can't see any gun dealer giving much of a trade-in either.
