Cranfield
The "top carp angler asleep in his bivvy" was probably anethetised with a few Stellas, so probably wouldn't have felt a thing.
KDR
Had one in the bivvy with me before, but it was in Austria, i think it was Austria, i've fished for carp all over... anyway the lads on the syndicate had befriended it and had taken to feeding it so it had become semi tame....scarred the living **** out off me..!!! The Duncan
I thought he was meant to be angling, not camping. The Stella/Anaesthesia theory is a sound one

Lampwick
Is this a marketing story? "Fox" are a carp angling tackle company! Shippy
Tim Kelly
Most carpers smell like carrion, can hardly blame the fox.
jacksdad
I reckon getting bit by a fox would be the highlight of a nights 'fishing', what a waste of time that game is ... You spend hours setting up then stalking a fish, then when you get it you just let it go again
mick miller
So who is this 'top' carp angler? I have to say it always makes me laugh to myself when anglers are referred to as 'top' or 'celebrity', the words 'shocking self-publicist' are more often nearer the truth (rather than just going about your business discreetly and quietly having them). mick miller
and thats how they make the money Well, if that's the most important thing to them then good luck to them. I don't buy mags, or dvd's featuring these drip-wet numpties. I've forgotten more than most of these 'masterclasses' could teach me. I've been dangling a line since I could stand, £14.99 and an hour of boredom in front of a box can't match that.

Grandalf
My paternal grandfather - a farm labourer in the Chiltern Hills - once said to me "boy, life is just too short for training spaniels and fishing for carp". Uneducated as he was, he was right on both counts! Edited February 10, 2011 by Grandalf

You spend hours setting up then stalking a fish, then when you get it you just let it go again It gets a lot more exciting when you fish like Withnail
