njc110381
T3. The other two seem much more cheaply made! Check out the Browning A-Bolt. It's a nice rifle and they've got some stunning deals on them at the moment. Since bringing out the X-Bolt they seem to be trying to get shot of them so you could get one for £450ish new if you like it.

kent
Howa, don't have one myself but every single one i have seen shot has been well capable. I don't like the t3 but a past fan of older Tikkas. Remmington are good enough in design but the Howas etc are just better copies unless you get a higher spec 700 i shouldn't bother with new Remington as regards value for money. why not have a look at CZ

bullet boy
You won't go far wrong with a Tikka T3.If I was gonna get another CF rifle then I'd get a T3 Stainless.I love my T3 in 22-250 calibre!Excellent rifle IMO.
Redgum
For the money the Remington 700 sps, seen them for sale new for less than £550. I have one, though the stock and std trigger have been changed,in its original stock it wasnt bad,now its real good. Go and feel a few in the gun shops, there's loads of choice and to be honest most factory hunting rifles shoot well enough.

I think the A-Bolt has the best loading system out of the lot too. A 4 shot box mag that clips to a floorplate - best of both worlds.
