twitchynik
Out earlier at silly hours after a skinful and little sleep. 3 bangs at pigeons, saw plenty of geese just not near enough. Now broken down on M1 waiting recovery truck...

Spaniel
Up the marsh at 2.30am.....god i am tired. Geese were taking a short cut so never came over us. The best chance we had was 2 geese started to turn as we called them in, but just before they got into shot range, the guys further down the marsh had a bang at some ducks, you can guess what the geese did.... But good to get out on the 1st and seen plenty of geese but i am so tired
ayano3
Up at 2:30am, at the marsh by 3:30am after picking up my shooting partners, arrived to find its just about standing room only !! Quite a few guns at Shep Whites, good tide that completely covered the marsh. See quite a few Mallard and Pintail, one or two packs of Teal. New gun didnt get the barrel dirty so there is always tonight I suppose. I did have a few Mallard cross me and were almost shootable for me but flew over the next gun along the bank but he must have been sleeping!! I cant wait to bag my first duck with the new Winchester x2 Super.
chrispti
Had 6 mallard and 4 geese, then my alarm went off and it was time to get up I only managed to miss 2 Canada's this morning I forgot how fast they actually fly, they go allot quicker than they look Fingers crossed for tomorrow then
big bad lindz
Not quite as silly `O`clock as you guys down south . on the shore for 5 set up and watched the seals playing. No duck in the air but a few mallard with ducklings paddeling along. Could hear the Geese on the other side of the Fleet and they started to lift around 6ish first group to far away, 2nd group of around 20 came toward where I was sitting from completly the wrong direction that I thought they would come and I was rather exposed as I only had a small hide net with me. By the time I thought about pulling the trigger they spooked and flighted away. They were within range ?? but!! . A few more small groups passed again well out of range then at 6.30ish low accross the fleet coming right at me and slowly gaining height. 1st shoot & 1 grey down  . Plenty more flying about but not close enough. Came home for breakfast around 7`clock. My first time out on the 1st and it was worth it.
