Big Game tomorrow I do want England and Scotland to go into the Quarters but cant see it happening unless England or the Argies slip up. Scotland hopefully will give all they can to win.

As a totaly impartial celtic person, COME ON THE JOCKS

but I hope Samoa get a bit further this time and they beat the Aussies recently. I love thier hard tackles and physicality of the way they play great to watch, hope they smash the Taffs to pieces!

Not quite.

Though the Scots often trip us up when it counts , I have a strong feeling they are in for a heavy defeat tomorrow . It will be a good contest but England will win . If they cannot defeat their Northern Hemisphere counterparts then England have no chance against the big boys and it is not their time yet . Whatever happens , Scotland gets beaten tomorrow .

Not a lot in it i believe, the only sure result is NZ beating Argentina, take your pick of the others! Look at the Tri Nations, Autumn Internationals, and 6 Nations results in recent years. Lots of close gameas between many of the sides in the last 8.

I am very much looking forward to it though. :good:

So clearly one half the top eight we will argue on passionately dependant on our various racial backgrounds All the celtic nations would like us (England) to get stuffed by the frogs and we'd rather see the micks stuff the taffs (but i thing conversely we'd rather play the welsh in the semi's because we can bully their pack more than we can with the irish.)

What about the london barstaff side of the table?

Ok I think that we all expect the long pig eaters to make mincemeat out of the falklands invading scum in one Quarter final but what of the other? the Criminals versus the Boks is too close to call in my mind ! In ther the semi of the Boks or Aussies versus New Zealand will the lack of their number 10 cancel out the home advantage for NZ?

wales and newzealand ind the final

That would be appropriate ..one bunch of sheep ******** versus another. :good:

France should beat England with normal improvement especially if Johnson retains Thompson at Hooker and Wilkinson( past his sell by date) instead of Flood. Personally I would drop Tindall as well.... he brings ****** all to the table these days. Suprised Wigglesworth hasnt been given a good run out to date.

We are still to reach the point where NZ choke. So write them off for the final.

Like it or not England can grind out a win against anybody.

So my prediction is England vs Australa for the final with England repeating their 2003 victory.

Now if it's a case of who deserves to win the it will be NZ as they are clearly the best team and have been for years. But the best team doesn't always win.

Hello my friend AVB.Your right about NZ as there are still good teams left in the Competition and past WC's have shown the All Blacks bottle it on the biggest stage.

I really can't see England doing it though.I honestly think that if they beat the Frogs then Ireland or Wales will do England!

Now it's getting interesting!

Well we're nearly there, what do you guys think the outcome of the matches this weekend will be?

I think Ireland v Wales could go either way and this could be Ireland's toughest game until the final. Ireland will maybe just have too much and win by 2 or 3 points. I fancy England to beat France easy enough, 10 points or so in it in the end. New Zealand will hump the Argies by 20+ points. Aussies to beat South Africa.

PFFFFT!

Ollie: France are bad, but England to put 10points on a decent team. Yeah right. France would need to collapse.

I would say England to grind it out for a 3pt win. And for it to be a deperate bad game for the neutral (like all England games) [no offense lads]

England to strangle the game and to grind out a win, they have two place kickers in the team so with France in disarray there should be loads of penalties and plenty of opportunities for drop goals (clever tactic by MJ two specialist kickers in the backline to drop em goals LOL :good: ) However just imagine in France click....(unlikely at the moment)

NZ by quite a margin.

South Africa to anhilate the Ozzie scrum, and negate their back row, SA by about 10.

Then on to the biggyy, this one is to close to call, a good Welsh front row, against a strong Ireland line out, two class no 7's, some sharp players in the backs....???? good game me hopes, Ireland or Wales by 6!

Enjoy the games all.

despite being impressed with the irish, especially against the french, my heart and my head both go with our boys in red. and despite me brushing up on my french especially, i think the english will beat the french. despite being a quality player (worlds greatest??) i think too much emphasis has been put on NZ loss of carter, and they still the ones to beat.

Wait to you see mate; as much as I hate to say it, this is the stage of the tournament when the English start. They have been in the last 2 World Cup finals and have a good chance of making it 3 in a row. They beat the French in the last 2 world cups also.
