Alpha Mule
I've never seen this before, anyone know what it is (before I go any further to getting him in the freezer)? Everything else looks normal. Edited September 15, 2011 by Alpha Mule
Doc Holliday
Looking at it, I'd say it's the fat around the kidneys. I've heard that beef cattle only lay on the yellow fat when they've been grazing summer meadows. Maybe something of that ilke?
Wookie
Looks like it. The same stuff you get on pheasants.

Alpha Mule
Well it's not slimey, smelly or mobile, so fat would fit. I'll freeze it for a couple of days and see how any other comments go.

Alpha Mule
You can't of skinned many rabbits Compaired with some folks on here, no I haven't, just maybe a couple of dozen. There aren't many round here, probably due to all the 'walkers' who 'exercise' their dogs all over my permissions. I can spend several nights walking around for hours and seeing nothing. Even flicking on an infraread lamp spooks them - I jest not. Anyway, thanks for the other input folks.
