paulos
If its north v south it should be held at Orston, As that is more central It shouls also be an all round comp 25 single barrell DTL 25 skeet 25 balltrap 25 sporting not Just sporting as this would then make it fair for all shooters not biased to the sporting people Deershooter :thanks: I like the cut of your jib But as others have said, it's just a birrova larf

Ooop the Norf Shaun, I totally agree with you Sporting is the most accessible discipline for probably all PW'ers be they clay or live quarry shooters and they would be most comfortable with that. I am a trap shooter and I certainly don't want it to be a boring trap shoot, I'd like to shoot something different and social so sporting ticks my box too

deershooter
Orston is not the place to shoot for a bit of a laugh, its a very difficult sporting layout for average shooters Deershooter
dan-250
And probably worse for us being below average. It is a nice ground tho. Cockett farm is a nice ground too with a club house bit. Ive never been bothered by being throw in at the deep end tho. You learn to take the abuse much faster, or you learn to break the clays. paulos
Orston is not the place to shoot for a bit of a laugh, its a very difficult sporting layout for average shooters Deershooter The venue hasn't been decided yet, but the ground would have to agree to it first in any case. If they did agree to host it then they would need to understand that it's for all abilities and not just the super-keen registered shooters. I didn't go last year, but Hodnet put a good mix on the year before.

canthitathing
Thats the problem a charity shoot should be fun not demoralizing, bang bang bu@@er. Deershooter The target will generally be set to suit all abilities with some stands harder or easier than others. The Hodnet shoot was a fair shoot but I think the weather got the better of a few, myself included (I don't do ******* rain ) I never shoot paticularly well at Hodnet but I love shooting there and will always make the effort. The sporting targets layout felt fairly straightforward to me and I shot my socks off. Orston is another ground I don't shoot well at (El Magnificao will back this up ) but again, it's a really nice place to shoot, particularly if your mobility is impaired. I'm more than sure Orston would be capable of putting on targets to suit all tastes and it gets my vote (for what it's worth). Don't worry about your score. I didn't know ANYBODY at the Hodnet shoot, and I'd only been shooting about a year, so I thought I'd be useless. Most will agree I was, but I surprised myself and had a great day to boot. Especially the part when Catamong had to wear the pink boa and the Gaylord hat
Paddy Galore!
how long before the venue is decided? don't care where it's at as long as there's beer and pizza oh, and quite possibly a bakery nearby that does cream cakes... Mungler
Real men with big todgers and who are a big hit with the ladies shoot it with a 12g pump action that cost less than a Teague choke set Edited January 23, 2012 by Mungler
