Devon Fox
Singe it with a gas flame. Mike... I normally finish all birds with a blast from the blow torch & a damp cloth. (sound like a serial killer )

Thunderbird
Bowl of water to dip your thumb in and work with the grain so to speak. Keep your thumb moist. I tried that and it worked on mallard and teal.

Zapp
Give them a blast with the gas torch smells abit, but it's a good finish! I dont get a lot of wildfowling in living as far as I do from the sea, but I use a variation of the above method where I turn my biggest gas hob to full and rotate the bird in the flame using tongs. kent
7" grinder- its awesome Seriously pluck carefully but quick and give them a rub with the thumb. If you thumb aint rough enough then you need to get out on the marsh more
