Whilst i thought I could make the date, and even voted for it (apologies if my 1 vote swung it), I now cant make it.

However, instead, I have an unopened slab of Just Cartridges Xtreme Game 32g 5's in fibre that i'm happy to donate to the raffle instead.

Rgds

Alistair

PS they're the gold ones, not the new ones in the GRS case.

Bottle of scotch (not malt I'm afraid)and a Winchester Multi Tool for the raffle.

I've also got something that I haven't got a clue as to the value and therefore don't know the best way of making the most money for the charity?

I won a competition at work for tickets to see England v Wales play in the RBS Six Nations Rugby Union tournament. I passed those tickets over to a workmate on who's behalf I had entered the competition! but the second part of the prize was an England shirt signed by England & Leicester Tigers star Tom Croft. (The shirt is loose i.e. not in a frame.)

At the risk of up-setting some, I have no interest in RU at all and I thought I would see if I can use this shirt to raise some extra money for this year's PW charity, as above though I don't have an inkling what this is worth.

Not given it a lot of thought but I think there are some options assuming this item is worth more than a piece of white material to dry the car with!

Pass it onto the charity for them to raffle it.

Raffle it on the day at Orston with proxy bids allowed.

Raffle it here on the forum with bids either on an open thread or by blind pm.

Someone suggest a realistic figure and I'll put it up for sale here on PW.

Proceeds all to the charity and I'll throw in any P&P free. All suggestion welcome and I guess Teal will have the final say on which method of money raising he will allow.

Come on then what are we going to do?

Great donation Mr Potter - I'm not sure what the best way to manage this is, so keen to hear ideas. I spoke with Different Strokes and they felt it would be best for us to raise funds from it ourselves.

I think an auction or raffle on the forum, or alternatively trying to look to list it on eBay with proceeds going to Charity would be the best way to raise the most funds. What do the rest of you reckon?

If you start an Auction thread for this shirt, I will place the first bid. £20.00

Winner pays directly to Different strokes, ticks the just giving/gift aid box, bid automatically increase's by 20% (I think)

With his customary generosity John Beswick of Rainhill Cartridge Supplies, Merseyside (O151 426 4607) has again donated a slab of cartridges. This year they are Kent Velocity HV Pigeon, fibre wad, shot size 6 and in the new fangled 29g load. All I've got to do is remember to put them in the car on the Saturday morning :hmm::hmm:

No problems Bakerboy, a couple of good donations have come in, a rotary from Paul Hart and a days game shooting with Paul223 are two of the highlights :good:

Might be worth a bit more now as im on the same shoot as Paul  i will also put a day up as a prize , thinking about making the day for two people so if any southerners win it they could fetch a friend and make the journey easier :good:

Up to teal if he want to keep them separate or join them ;)

If that pink gun slip doesn't attract the Essex lot I don't know what will!

Great donation of a day's shooting mag, will probably do them as separate items as it is bound to be a popular prize, but good to note they are on the same day so it might suit if a brace of Southerners win it :good:
