Apart from the item that reports that we have paid Phil Boakes £22,000 to go away.

I thought that he had resigned??????

Phil is so wonderful he originally thought he was worth £260,000 in damages.

What price is a humane killer?????

It has slightly improved since its last manifestation, the problem is always going to be an organisation run by people who are look at this as just another job, non performanace related, and not having to get the product on the shelves, if it was stacked up against other publications it would sink without trace, but this is the CPSA....i suppose it cost us around £200,000 per year to publish it probably ain't bad for that....We need to get Bourne Publishing back doing the mag, Mike Barnes was a true clayshooter and a great publisher.

The CPSA despite its flaws is a members organisation, its basically our own making, the apathy in the sport reflects in the organisations performance, there is no worse member of this orgaisation than sporting shooters, i know England ex team members who are no longer in the organisation, they still shoot clays. The dangers that await us as shooters are emense without a strong governing body we will not last another 10 years, its the same for BASC. The restriction on guns will be so severe that only the passive members of the sport will remain we will be wittled down to so few that no one will notice our demise. The CPSA should be a 100,000 strong, but it wallows around the the 20 odd.

I know to my cost the short time that is left....I really don't expect to have a gun licence in the next few years.

So what is the point :hmm:

Straight to the fixtures page for me...the rest of it is just a waste of paper. And as for the cpsa, I just wish we had an alternative...

Always check the "paid for" classified ads at the back. Free fixtures are only a guide. They have to go in so far in advance that sometimes changes to events cannot be made only via the classified advert. I've been caught out. So much for computerisation = not so up to date!

I agree with you denniswebb. Membership is very low. More support is needed.

I haven't been sleeping well recently; just realised it could be he anxiety of not yet having recorded this frankly top drawer publication. Hopefully it will arrive tomorrow and I can finally relax....

Is this the copy with your recent english open winner & your gay lover-Mark Minser on the front cover ?? :good: :good: :good:
