My Grandson flew out today for a 7mth tour I hope that Harry is around in his apache if my kid needs bialing out,

Malatone,

Half of the posts on here are from blokes who are jealous that he's royalty doing a 'normal blokes' job!! The Apache pilots are chilled out calm blokes and when the **** is hitting the fan and going everywhere, that calm voice on the end of the radio really helps when your 'Talking them on to targets'!!

Good luck to your Grandson mate, hope he has a safe tour.

Ratus

I think it might actually be libel rather than slander, though lets not split heirs...

true libel is written slander is spoken you are correct

The way this forum is going of late  well lets just say "seems a lot of touchy members",use to be a good crack on here, with some good banter  BB

didn`t mean to sound like a grump, I`ve never heard of Harry`s parentage being brought into question, maybe living up here in the sticks eh?

There seem to me to be two perspectives - first Harry was withdrawn from ground combat because of the potential threat - thats fair enough to me and no reflection on Harry.

He then complained bitterly that he couldnt do his 'job' and has converted to an apache - no small feat for anyone. I do not doubt that Harry will fly like any other pilot and this job is a measured step to allow him to fight but try to ensure he isnt targetted successfully.

If you take him as he is - I quite like the lad and certainly he doesnt lack intestinal fortitude. despite being a bit 'boisterous', he's earned his 'royal' status to me.

 totally agree with this statement!

His behaviour was not what one woudl expect of an officer and a member of the Royal Family but give him his due.

Yes it is.

It’s not what you might want from the Officers and Royals though. :)

But they do both have a reputation for being a bit rowdy.

Some of the stories I’ve heard about officers messes make a game of strip pool look tame.

And you only need to go back a few years to see some Royals that really loved to party.
