Went out friday shooting on some bean fields that have been direct drilled with wheat .Lots of birds about would estimate getting in to the thousands and was shooting alone over 4 fields of beans.

Really struggled to get the birds to decoy and as usual you watch were there feeding only to set up and watch them move to another field .The fields were very wet but the pigeons didnt mind landing in the mud so the myth about pigeons not likeing wet feet is a just that a myth. The beans were harvested about 4 weeks ago and then drilled a couple of weeks after .There are still thousands of beans about and also now there is wheat on top as well.Hopefully get a few more weeks shooting off them as the rest of my land has shoots on them .Ended the day with 80 picked up and its all experience for my young lab alfie. You can see how wet the fields were in first pic puddles everywere
