Gobfish
I would consider it very carefully, even if gaining permission from the right place..... should an accident be caused by your actions ... ie a rabbit slipping the net and and bolting across the road ... or even merely by you being cited as a distraction .... wouldn't like to be in your shoes I got turfed off the top of a motorway embankment by the police some years ago... all I was doing was covering the holes just the other side of the fence at the top of a large cutting... police got very humpy and rolled out a long list of of half a**** charges from trespass to liability to cause an accident etc etc ... may have been bull , but wasn't worth me arguing the toss with an an angry red faced copper

Scully
Think this may be a no-go,and would involve risk assessments and permits to work, traffic cones,hi-viz and hard hats. But don't ask you'll never know.

corvid wings
plenty of bunnies on the roundabouts by me ,we find it amusing watching them .plenty about so we never bother them, we think of them as a bunny bank to repopulate the surrounding area ,your never gonna catch them all ,and don't try ,tilt your hat and wish them luck . compo90
i would ask the highways department and see what they say............i have done roadside hedges on permissions i have had, i used purse nets and a longnet as a back up , the longnet also provides a barrier of sorts and shows the edge of the working area..........had afew good days at the side of roads and even sold a few rabbits to folk who stopped and asked...........best one though was a lady who walks past "what are you doing?" ...."catching rabbits!" i replied................."but why bother, you can buy them at the butchers in *********" (she named the butcher that i sell my surplus to) ..........."i supply that butchers" ..........she didnt think it through, silly woman
