thats my dilema fella its on a public highway, would the police just ask me to leave or would it be classed as trespass??? cheers matt

Contact your local council, and their highways department, and offer them a free of charge service.

You never know in these hard times you may get something. You will need to have a comprehensive insurance cover. Good luck

I would consider it very carefully, even if gaining permission from the right place..... should an accident be caused by your actions ... ie a rabbit slipping the net and and bolting across the road ... or even merely by you being cited as a distraction .... wouldn't like to be in your shoes

I got turfed off the top of a motorway embankment by the police some years ago... all I was doing was covering the holes just the other side of the fence at the top of a large cutting... police got very humpy and rolled out a long list of of half a**** charges from trespass to liability to cause an accident etc etc ... may have been bull , but wasn't worth me arguing the toss with an an angry red faced copper

i would ask the highways department and see what they say............i have done roadside hedges on permissions i have had, i used purse nets and a longnet as a back up , the longnet also provides a barrier of sorts and shows the edge of the working area..........had afew good days at the side of roads and even sold a few rabbits to folk who stopped and asked...........best one though was a lady who walks past "what are you doing?" ...."catching rabbits!" i replied................."but why bother, you can buy them at the butchers in *********" (she named the butcher that i sell my surplus to) ..........."i supply that butchers" ..........she didnt think it through, silly woman
