We got a tassimo last week...makes great coffee and the best thing is it makes it in about 30seconds from switching on to pressing the button.

You get £20 voucher towards discs from tassimo so makes them a bit cheaper and the machine is half price a few places at the moment.

If you wanted to go the whole hog ( I wasn't allowed to) Phillips have a bean to cup awesome machine on offer with a code so it is £365 instead of £1000! I still want that one.

Even cheaper at the moment direct from Dolce Gusto. I've just ordered the circolo one. Mate of mine has one and it produces some great cuppa's.

I must be a rite cheapo commoner,

Just the other week i popped into curry's and got myself a "Logic" coffee maker for £19.00 ... thats NINETEEN POUNDS, not 190 or 1,900, the coffee tastes better that instant,i can grind fresh beans and use them, but the thing it doesnt do is make

Latte

Americano

Costalottacoffee

italionogodknows what

It just makes common old garden coffee. And it leaves me on comparrison about £80 to spend on shooting stuff

Nothing like filling the flask up with a good black coffee from the coffee machine and taking out for a days shooting.

Love my machine which is built in, except I'll be leaving it in the house when we sell it :sad1:

I recomended one of these to a friend, this is a manual machine which also takes pods, and he's really happy with this

Regards liking Latte and capuccino coffee's, every coffee type is made up of various coffee/milk and water amounts, with a manual machine you can create any coffee you like.

If you don't mind second hand, there are loads on Ebay and you can pick up a good quality machine at a fraction of the cost, Francis make a very good little machine which you wouldn't be dissapointed with, another friend picked up one of these for just over £100 and loves it....

I spend days pouring over reviews etc... and the verdict online was that the tassimo was the best one to get, so i bought one a few months back. Retail was £120, was on offer at £49. Have to say its awesome. Massive range of coffee and hot drinks, and its supported by Costa so you can get all the genuine costa drinks, such as latte`s, capacino & americano etc.. Also, they do Milka which is awesome as well as about 60 other drinks. The pods workout at between 25p and 50p a drink depending on what you have. The machine has a built in Brita water filter and is easy to use.

Its also a very small compact unit. Everyone whose seen it is surprised at how small it is!

In fact I liked it so much I bought another one for use at work. :)

Sure its not a "proper" coffee machine in that you dont put the beans in and grind away, but I specifically wanted a "pod" machine.

Only downside I find is that you end up having about 20 cups of coffee / expresso / etc a day!!!

The pod machines are very convenient.

I grind my own freshly roasted beans in a Kitchenaid burr grinder and use a Gaggia Classic, but I drink pure espresso and that's a lot less forgiving.

I get my beans from here. Once you have tried them however you can never go back so be warned. Slippery slope.

Next step for me will be roasting my own :good:
