HDAV
Looking at one my self but not capsule as don't want to be limited to one type, there are 44mm discs like tea bags which are none brand specific there is a good deal on the Francis X7 which uses illy pods http://www.espressocrazy.com/machines/for_new_iperespresso_capsules/francis_francis_x7_iperespresso_machine/25/ Edited December 9, 2012 by HDAV
Amazed
We have one and found it takes up too much room. Lovely coffie but getting out and using its a pain. That's a tassimo aswell. If you have the side space they are bang on.
Zulu
Family been using Nespresso machine last 2 yrs and all enjoy , usually offers of credits back after purchase to swop for pods .
oscarsdad
We got a tassimo last week...makes great coffee and the best thing is it makes it in about 30seconds from switching on to pressing the button. You get £20 voucher towards discs from tassimo so makes them a bit cheaper and the machine is half price a few places at the moment. If you wanted to go the whole hog ( I wasn't allowed to) Phillips have a bean to cup awesome machine on offer with a code so it is £365 instead of £1000! I still want that one. Thunderbird
PM Brown Sauce, he's got one. It's not bad as long as you pull it very short and don't over-extract otherwise it's bitter as anything. I hate the bloody pod things but I'm a coffee geek who all but grows his own. Each to their own though.
OddJob
Had a tassimo but didn't rate it give it away..... Wow! Let me know if you get another and fancy giving that away as well. It's the cost of the pods that get me and they are never quite hot enough.
PhilR
Got a Nespresso Pixie and it's great coffee and quick to use. We bought a Gaggia a few years ago but that was a pain to use and results were very erratic.

Latte is my fav and i couldnt ever be without it. http://www.amazon.co...c_df_B001GIOQLO Even cheaper at the moment direct from Dolce Gusto. I've just ordered the circolo one. Mate of mine has one and it produces some great cuppa's. https://www.dolce-gusto.co.uk/EN/machines/Pages/all-machines.aspx
humperdingle
What's the budget? I got a DeLonghi Magnifica (Bean-to-cup) coffee machine for £230. Fill it with coffee beans, set strength, and it grinds the beans and spits out a perfect, fresh coffee every time.
Subseatiger
Nespresso for me. takes up minimal space on the worktop, you get a multitude of flavours with the machine. once you decide which flavour you like you only order those type so nothing sitting un-used in thecupboard. so simple to use and clean too. NickS
Nespresso for me too. I liked the one we had at home so much that I bought a second one for my office. Once you get used to having real coffee with the convenience of instant you can never go back. Nick

Dougy
I must be a rite cheapo commoner, Just the other week i popped into curry's and got myself a "Logic" coffee maker for £19.00 ... thats NINETEEN POUNDS, not 190 or 1,900, the coffee tastes better that instant,i can grind fresh beans and use them, but the thing it doesnt do is make Latte Americano Costalottacoffee italionogodknows what It just makes common old garden coffee. And it leaves me on comparrison about £80 to spend on shooting stuff
craftycarper
I'm even cheaper, £1 for 10 cups of Nescafé gold in pound shop, boil kettle, fill with water, drink then chuck cup away ... Not even any washing up to do
Cosd
Nothing like filling the flask up with a good black coffee from the coffee machine and taking out for a days shooting. Love my machine which is built in, except I'll be leaving it in the house when we sell it https://secure.appliancedeals247.co.uk/product.php?product_id=423 I recomended one of these to a friend, this is a manual machine which also takes pods, and he's really happy with this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Gaggia-RI8161-Classic-Manual-Espresso-Coffee-Machine-for-Ground-Coffee-Pods-/390507624700?pt=Coffee_Machines_Makers&hash=item5aec1178fc&_uhb=1 Regards liking Latte and capuccino coffee's, every coffee type is made up of various coffee/milk and water amounts, with a manual machine you can create any coffee you like. If you don't mind second hand, there are loads on Ebay and you can pick up a good quality machine at a fraction of the cost, Francis make a very good little machine which you wouldn't be dissapointed with, another friend picked up one of these for just over £100 and loves it.... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Francis-Francis-x1-espresso-machine-coffee-machine-coffee-maker-/190768327306?pt=Coffee_Machines_Makers&hash=item2c6aadaa8a&_uhb=1 Cos

jackinbox99
I spend days pouring over reviews etc... and the verdict online was that the tassimo was the best one to get, so i bought one a few months back. Retail was £120, was on offer at £49. Have to say its awesome. Massive range of coffee and hot drinks, and its supported by Costa so you can get all the genuine costa drinks, such as latte`s, capacino & americano etc.. Also, they do Milka which is awesome as well as about 60 other drinks. The pods workout at between 25p and 50p a drink depending on what you have. The machine has a built in Brita water filter and is easy to use. Its also a very small compact unit. Everyone whose seen it is surprised at how small it is! In fact I liked it so much I bought another one for use at work. Sure its not a "proper" coffee machine in that you dont put the beans in and grind away, but I specifically wanted a "pod" machine. Only downside I find is that you end up having about 20 cups of coffee / expresso / etc a day!!! Thunderbird
The pod machines are very convenient. I grind my own freshly roasted beans in a Kitchenaid burr grinder and use a Gaggia Classic, but I drink pure espresso and that's a lot less forgiving. I get my beans from here. Once you have tried them however you can never go back so be warned. Slippery slope. Next step for me will be roasting my own
officerdibble777
I got a Keurig machine a couple of weeks ago,it also makes the pod coffee K cups they call them, but the amount of different types is great. It also has a filter pod that you can put your own ground coffee in and wash it after .best buy for me a while
