Is there anyone who can do it faster than that, the time to beat is 26 seconds.

markadams
Tiercel, Does this time include gutting as well as skinning? I would love to know how to skin rabbits in sub 30 seconds, it takes me 3 minutes + Mark.
dead-eye-dick
If you use an anti-tank round, they skin themselves Have trouble getting them for 16 bore though, and you have to turn the washer round on a semi auto, or they won't cycle properly

Rob G
A few years ago i worked for a game dealer,we had a competition who could skin rabbits the fastest. The fastest i could do was 19 seconds.I will try and explain how we done it. first of all take the head, feet and tail off start timing from now Grab the rabbits fur by the back insert knife, making slit in skin.pull the two halves away as quick possible, then split skin remove guts trim the excess skin. Pigeon Pieman
I think chopping off its feet etc first, then starting the time, is cheating somewhat!! If I'm preparing rabbits for a customer, I can't just ignore the time taken to remove its feet! It all counts in the actual time required. Best way is to get a big pile of bunnies (100 plus) and work your socks of for one hour. The amount that are table ready is the amount you can do in an hour

Teal
Takes me about 5 minutes to skin and gut a rabbit, but then again I guess I don't have the same amount of experience as the rest of ya, thats my excuse an I'm sticking to it
Cranfield
Gutting a rabbit takes me seconds, but skinning takes a lot longer. Is it easier to skin them warm, or cold ? I have always skinned mine cold.
The Antipodean
Try doing them warm cranfield .When they are cooler it always seems harder to pull the skin off. Plus on the cold winter nights it keeps your pinkys warm.
