What a year

Hi everybody.

After a long tally up , I have finally collated our shooting year.

But I must say I had a very unfortunate end to the year, as I lost my younger brother to cancer, on boxing day. He was only 42.

R.I.P Nick.

He told me he would love to shoot anything, just the once before he left this earth. I am just glad that I managed to take him out pigeon shooting and he got his wish.

Totals for the year

8,579 x pigeons, and the 3 most memorable were the one's my brother shot.

1,089 blackies

179 x foxes

41 x magpies

108 x rabbits

48 x ducks

57 x geese

7 x woodcock

34 x pheasants

7 x partridges

18 x roe deer

14 x muntjac.

The shooting was exceptional last year, due to me being off sick for 10 months and able to get out a lot more.

Happy new year to you all, and good health.

Dave K

I missed this thread first time round and I am sorry to be late with condolences for the loss of your brother, that must have been a terrible time.

That is an impressive yearly total and reflects the work you put into your shooting and the fact you seem to have gained access to the shooting in the entire West Midlands and all areas around. :)

Apart from the long absence from work, lets hope this year is as good.

Hi mate,

I'm looking to get some more shooting experience with the rifle and shotgun, looking at doing a bit of foxing and pigeon shooting, just wondering if I could help out on any of your permission's? Wouldn't expect to pull a trigger it would just be great to be out with an experienced hand.

Thanks in advance and no worries if not pal

Adam
