il cacciatore
Ok, I know that a massive thing with ammunition is if it suits the gun but I would like to hear what subsonic ammunition that you like for the .22. Cheers.
Frank
I voted Winchester. Most CZ .22s like them and mine loves them. Frank.

il cacciatore
My anschutz hates CCI. I fired about 50 and I got approx 5 or 6 jams.

Hairy Pat
I use eleys in my Anschutz cheap and accurate. Federal Gold Medal Match are my favourite for accuracy, sadly too expensive for rabbiting. Lapua shoot ok also, but the box I brought were a pain to handle due to the amount of oil on the bullets . kip270
Eley for me, best subs for my CZ bolt action
il cacciatore
This is interesting. I thought that Winchester would win supreme but turns out this isnt the case. I use eleys in my Anschutz cheap and accurate... Pat Is your Anschutz a semi auto by any chance?
Hairy Pat
I've got the 1417 in .22lr and 1517 in .17hmr both bolt action with thumbhole stocks, great to hold and shoot. The balance on the .22 with its short barrel is exceptional . Pat
il cacciatore
Just wondering as mine is a semi auto and would be interested in finding out what others use in it and to what results.
bobt
Eley's for me as they group best in my rifle funny that cos I have found my Brno hates eleys, but loves winchesters.
Axe
Wiinchester or Eley work well in mine. Winchester hit harder but Eley group ever so slightly better, but smell odd!
Dead-Eyed Duck
In most of the bolt actions that I have owned Eleys have been best, but there has not been much between them and Winnies. However, in the four semi's that I have owned Winnies have been best. Nothing to do with accuracy, but the extra power in the Winnies has resulted in fewer jams and misfeeds - especially when the gun is due for a clean! Deer Man
I use a Mexican ammo called Aguila. Its very good and at £30 a thousand you cant beat it!

rabbitron
bought my Anschutz mod 1422. 25yrs ago when I was 19,tried all the main brands but the best performer without doubt in my rifle was RWS - used them eversince and never had any problems

Rimfireboy
Eley subs just got the edge in my anschutz. Winchester and CCI subs close behind. CCI's seem to have a bit more poke though from my short barrel anyway. I also found eleys to be the most accurate high velocity .22 hp with CCI velocitors a close second. The HV's shot well out to 110 yards.
bicykillgaz
My link Eley kill most things well if you get them in the right place Bloody iPad pictures not coming up! Edited July 31, 2012 by bicykillgaz
Whitebridges
I see the OP was 2006, but that doesn't matter much. Eley subs very good in my Anshutz 1417G but I use Winchester subs as there isn't much in the groupings and I find the winnies hit that bit harder. Winchesters are easier to get hold of as well.
