Howdy from Germany!

Recommended Posts

Howdy everyone,

I'm a new PW member from Germany. I've been hunting for 16 years, mostly pigeons and small game/rough shooting. In my youth my dad and I spend many splendid vacation hunting in Scotland. I am very interessted in British ways of pigeon/crow hunting and hope to find further advise here. And, in the long run, maybe even a place in the UK I could come visit for a little pest control.

Being a DIY-maniac, I enjoy building my own decoys, blinds and rotaries from whatever scrap I can find. I will post a bunch of how-to pics about my foam decoys in the suitable section of the forum shortly.

Cheers

Thank y'all for the warm welcome!

@ the essex hunter: I deleted the line about not mentioning the war from my initial post. I thought that was so 70's... ;) However, in this Battle of Britain we're joining forces to face the same enemy: Woody the grey bomber.

BTW, I put your name on zee list! ;))

@ sitsinhedge: That's because it's American! ;) Anyway, thanks for the compliment and for overseeing the mistakes!

@ fisheruk: It's pretty much the same as you do it. Just that we have been having way less birds over the last couple of years. I will gladly post pictures of a winter's day pigeon shooting with my dad in February.

I think you got off quite lightly to be honest lol. There are loads of those clips on YouTube

The Essex boys are well known for not taking prisoners (well not many)

It is nice to be on zee list as that makes me feel wanted……lol

I was given a brief on a pheasant shoot on Saturday….Dont hold back, if it is safe then shoot it……….

Anyway less typing and more shooting
