The Essex Hunter
A mate and I had spoke about a fox target…..He turned up the other night with a big lump of 10mm plate and his downloaded pattern!! The back frame legs will need some sloping armour as I can see round cutting the 3mm box in half!! Also 4 ground spikes will be added…however I am sure it will provide a bit of fun and some useful information. I am planning to make a front end version because the foxes quite often sit down and watch you at 200-250 which can make it a challenge on a windy night off the sticks. 39TDS
Wouldn't it be better with the support upright to the side of the target? My first impression was you are going to get some pretty random ricochets. It's a pretty sturdy thing.

The Essex Hunter
my guess is the rounds will leave wee holes through it! I have some off cuts of Hardox 400 to collect.....buzz them on and it will save the back doors of the van...... TEH
Paul223
should do the trick, take an off cut of the 10mm and see if you can nip a hole through at 200 meters
SPARKIE
im sure you will punch holes streight through if it isnt hardox steel......if its mild steel you will be able to fill the holes easy enough.

Brown Sauce
Looks like you'll need a folk lift to manoeuvre it into position!! I jest, cracking job that and will you be sticking some reflectors on for the eyes?

flynny
I've been shooting a 12mm mild steel plate at 200 YDS with 55 grain fmjs thru my 223 and it nearly goes thru, it penetrates approx 8-9mm, I'll try and get some pics up tomorrow, I recon 2 bullets in the same place would go thru Nice job mate, excellent for practice to constantly hit kill zones
