yickdaz
started off on the corner of a wood I had seen birds heading to, one side of track was rape the other side was drilling so put some decoys on the rape some on the drilling rotary, and turbo out as well, after a while I could see it was going to be slow going, after half an hour and only 2 birds down then farmhand turn up and decided to fertilize the rape, great stuff I stuck it out because I was getting a few shots when the tractor was down the field away from me, I could see a few birds 200 yards to my right flighting over a row of houses but cutting across an oat drilling, then they started to go in on it so after 2 hrs and 8 birds I thought to myself nothing to lose by moving to the flight line for an hour or so , wise move in the end but no longer had I got set up the farmhand decided to fertilize that field as well I thought not my day this when tractor was away from me birds were coming straight in from the off to dead birds ,rotary and turbo, and it continued like that at times it was hectic, also had packs sometimes flocks diving in on me sometimes shooting at them, then turn round and come back in I got 8 in the first 2 hours then 62 in the last 2 1/2 hrs quite a turnaround had 70 on the clicker picked 65 and 1 feral battery was low on my phone in the field so couldn,t take a pic, took one in the garden at home instead other pic is a ringed woodie, ringed by the bto british national history museum, its the 4th ringed woodie I have shot from the same area virtually the same field in the last 6 years Edited April 6, 2013 by yickdaz
