mrmints
Scrub buying a jacket for my birthday, I'm going to go all out and buy an over under!! I've got plans to join a syndicate and think I should have a non semi auto! I've got about £750 to spend and want your recommendations for the best gun I could get for that money new or second hand. Thanks for the help guys!
Twistedsanity
I got a wibley and snott 900k 12bore for that money new the other day and its a nice bit of kit , probably get one cheaper if you shop around
fenboy
A new gun is very much a personal choice . But if I was buying for myself within that price I would be going for a Winchester 101 in good condition. I would also consider the Beretta silver pigeon and the browning 425 both S/H off course. malantone
I got a Bettinsoli new last year for under £700, nice gun
welshwarrior
A beretta 686 or 687 older one not the newer (and IMHO not as good) silver pigeons. Or if you lack taste a browning 325 or Miroku MK 60 or
HDAV
£750 if you hunt hard remember that fit is key and if it doesn't fit it matters not how good a bargain it is........ Your in the bottom end of the big 3 Beretta (686) Browning (325/425/525) Miroku (MK38/60/70) Or from left field, Winchester (older 101) perhaps newer Select, Mcnab (Rizzini) New there are Lincoln, Lanber, Bettinsoli, Larouna etc etc http://www.gunstar.co.uk/Shotgun/MacNab-Highlander-gun-for-sale-gs122023.aspx http://www.sportsmanguncentre.co.uk/product/54516fcc1eb2409181955052/Browning+G1+12G+'28130308'2F001'29/ http://www.guntrader.co.uk/Guns-For-Sale/Fausti_Shotgun_Windsor_For-Sale_130315143726001 http://www.guntrader.co.uk/Guns-For-Sale/Winchester_Shotgun_101-XTR_For-Sale_111025162847252 http://www.guntrader.co.uk/Guns-For-Sale/Miroku_Shotgun_MK-60-Grade-1_For-Sale_130513221130061 http://www.guntrader.co.uk/Guns-For-Sale/Lincoln_Shotgun_Premier_For-Sale_121022200437035 http://www.guntrader.co.uk/Guns-For-Sale/Beretta_Shotgun_686-Onyx_For-Sale_130212130105001 http://www.guntrader.co.uk/Guns-For-Sale/Beretta_Shotgun_686-Silver-Pigeon_For-Sale_130424170351939 http://www.guntrader.co.uk/Guns-For-Sale/Winchester_Shotgun_Select_For-Sale_060420200005001 http://www.guntrader.co.uk/Guns-For-Sale/Browning_Shotgun_B325-Grade-1_For-Sale_130509151505034 Just a few to choose from.................. mrmints
Thanks for all the responses guys. I'm planning to have a look at a Miroku MK70 that is in my local RFD. Not wanting to buy a gun that doesn't fit, if I were to mount a brand new (and £1500) silver pigeon in the shop, can I assume that the 2nd hand one I buy will be the same fit? Or is every gun different?
spinach
Mrmints if you get a semi check when you join a syndicate that they allow them, for pigeons and wildfowling there great, but if there not welcome and it becomes your gun of choice then using another can be a pain in the. John. Winchester 101, a classic gun and holds its value far better than most.
bostonmick
As long as its a standard pigeon should be exactly the same.

Alycidon
Used Miroku, Nikko, Winchester 101, Browning 325 or Beretta although the latter may be out of the price range. Old Mirokus are lovely old guns and so so cheap but they do have a different fit to the Beretta and Nikko. A
