Hello all, been a bit of a lurker here for a few months now and the place is a mine of info. It seems that every Google search I did would end up back here so I figured I should join.

I have done a bit of rifle shooting, many moons ago when I was in the cadets at school, and more recently got the clay bug when I went to Worsley for my stag do. It has taken me a few months to get my finger out and get my SGC but I now have it and a shotgun too. I bought a Hatstand Escort (thought I would get that in first lol) from Mcavoy as they had a 10% discount on new shotguns, less than £350 for a new shotgun is a bargain in my book.

Greater Manchester Police was fantastic when they delt with my application. I posted my application to my counter signatory on a Friday, the firearms dept called me on the next Wednesday to arrange for a visit the following Saturday. At the visit I was told that if I had my cabinet fitted I could have the SGC on the following Wednesday! A week from contact to completion! I was a week or so slower than that because I had to get the cabinet and fit it, I was the slowest part of the process.

Looking forward to busting some clays soon.

I really should pay attention to my posts lol. I may have a few more lessons but I was just having a blast flinging shot in the general direction of the clays.
