mereside
went out last night onto the farm for a few hours with the hound expecting to see plenty of geese thats been around ,ha ha no geese so just spent the last hour on the small pond waiting for a couple of ducks for tea. ended up really enjoying the night i got my birds exept the last one we couldn't find anyway I had my grandad in the back of my mind saying to me don't bloody come home till you find it and we did after a while and losing my phone in the process. got home to tell the wife how we had had a great time being out and the reply was sit down you have some bad news , grandad has passed away whilst i was out hunting. I had been meaning to pop round and see them but work and stuff got in the way as it does so not looking forward to this week with the family. i look back on life he gave me my first air rifle and tought me to shoot and fish and also got me my fist motorbike so happy memories but a sad day,atb wayne

henry d
So sorry for your loss, but as a small bit of comfort, he passed it forward to you, so it seems natural that you should do the same.

mereside
yes he started it all till girls and bikes got in the way ,I have just had a good chuckle as the last time i went round he asked if i could get him a 410 as his eyes were not as good with the air rifle anymore I had to tell him that it was best not to and keep plinking the rats from the living room window not bad for 88, atb wayne

Varminator
Sorry to hear that Wayne. Sounds like you have some great memories of your Grandfather and he sounds like a cracking bloke. I was out under the moon 3 years ago this Christmas with my best pal when the found out his father had passed away. We always share a moment while out under the December moon now to remember him and I'm sure you will do the same each first. Rich
