Had to take my granddaughter early this morning to her mates house by 6.30,both where off to Manchester uni open day.

Thought might as well go on the crows for a few hours after i dropped her off. Set off for a 25 min drive to farm where i'd been told lot of crows on the reseeding.

Got to the field a couple of crows on it,so stuck up hide out with the decoys, had a smoke retched for the flask for a coffee no blinking cup. So it was drink out of flask day. :good: Few crows flying down far end of field heading to some fields further away, only 3 carrion came my way all where dropped :good:

Crows still heading to them other fields :sad1: Nothing taking interest of my deeks. Though i'm off home, kit away and left field when i got to main road pulled over thought i'd have a look to see where them crows where heading to. Bingo all on a new cut barley or corn unbaled not my permission though. :sad1: Then a farmer came by in his landy, said can i help you i said yes just looking at the crows on this field, ask who owned it me he said. Introduced myself said i'd been shooting both the next door farms so you are that Terry heard you been shooting loads of crows . Carry on Terry :yahoo: come anytime go and park in the yard go through the small paddock then you right by that field there. Off i went parked up walked to field set up a few decoys and crows came in quite soon.

Had some cracking shooting, shot till just before 3 o clock picked up these in pic plus a lot over the big hedge and some still in field had to be home by 4 meeting someone. Think around the 70 + mark . :good: Met farmer on way to car told him i'd had quite a few, seen some them drop Terry some high one's there mate :) i said not picked them all up sorry don't worry i'll go down later to collect them all. :good:

Thanks Chaps :good: PC got to crow decoying sorted, not as hard as getting pigeons to decoy imo. Very few pigeons in this area would be very lucky to get 20 max on a good day :sad1:

ATVB Terry

Twenty woodies does me around here too. I dont mind less than twenty.

I think crows are easier too...not just the young'ns too.

The little session I had yesters most of them were big mature crows...had to check they werent ravens on a couple!

Crow bashing is great...got a couple of roosts here. I like rattling a few on dark sometimes.

Jackdaws can be testing...especially the second bird.

You have fun...

U.
