went out with intention of just looking at 2 farms didn,t want to travel to far today 1st area was 10 miles away hardly seen a bird in 30 mins I was there looking around so headed back towards home but stopped off at the other farm 2 miles from home, found birds just flighting around not really heading for a particular spot or field just flighting from wood to wood tree to tree oak woods and oak treelines in groups and small flocks so set up at 1.45pm in a likely spot they use as a flightpath down a row of oak trees on some stubble they decoyed from the off and it was quite a surprise how well they did decoy today not all of them did but a good portion did , I had one of the best afternoons shooting I can remember because I pulled off about 10 shots which made me stand there with my mouth open wundering how the hell I just brought that down 60 yard birds dead in the air and a crow that looked out of range until it folded up and hit the deck

packed up at 4.30 with 51 picked and a crow lost 2 woodies and a crow

Great bag Daz, I spooked about sixty north on Saturday from south of Birmingham (Joke) . It just goes to show that if you look you will find birds not on a crop but just fighting from tree to tree. Brilliant result and well deserved.

thanks pc most appreciated, :good: all the members will expecting the same favour now you know
