Good rootin tootin

good video and good shooting, well done

Thanks, appreciate the comments! :good:

Shot at around 4:50 - was it meant to be a heart shot? - looked like you got a flier pellet but got lucky! Good shooting, is she a .22 or .177?

Yeah I have to admit, it turned out lucky that the rabbit bowled over like that. It looked to be right behind the fence that I was shooting through (25yds approx) but was actually a good few yards into the next field. I think the wind must have picked up a bit to cause the windage issue. It wasn't until I watched it back, that I noticed how far off it was from my aim! I use a .177

Good shooting and video. What equipment did you use to record it?

Thanks Steve! We're using a NS50 with an `upgrade` camera unit available on the famous auction site. I record it all with an angel eye DVR, which is fine for 30-40yds but struggles to do the Nitesite/camera combo any justice really. We can see 250+ yds easy through the NS screen.

Nice to see a priest in the pocket (just in case huh),nice to be prepared

Good spot! Yep, it's best to be prepared and it does the job well. Much quicker than doing it by hand I find

The .177 is certainly more prone to drifting with the wind in my experience, but i prefer .177 still. Weird thing happened to me once where the pellet just seemed to veer off, and i found the pellet had struck a tiny bit of brush just before reaching the rabbit. Good shooting anyway pal - i enjoyed it. Was offered a HW100 the other week and unfortunately had to turn it down.

Thanks Simon! Yeah I know, I always make sure the gun's unloaded when filming something I don't want to shoot but didn't think it worthwhile putting text in explaining that. Perhaps one day I ought to do a commentary voice over and make it clear then...

ye do some commentating you could have your self some good videos there pal,i take it its a 12ftlb 177 which was good shooting if it was,i have a 32ftlb rapid and i use a 12ftlb 177 but with no wind on a good night my 177 can do a good job but obviously not just as far as the rapid, cheers simon................

Yeah the .177 is definitely more vulnerable to the wind than .22 but definitely has it's benefits in range and trajectory, hence why I also prefer it. Thanks again

Good shooting & great video !

Am I alone in holding my breath for the shot when I watch these.. deep breath, exhale and then hold it.. just like when shooting ?

Thanks! I'm sure you're not alone there! I tend to watch my own clips back and wonder why I didn't take a shot earlier, but I suppose you have to feel more comfortable with what you're looking at when you've actually got your finger on the trigger!

Yeah sub 12ftlbs, It's actually producing about 11 with these pellets last check.

I've got some footage from a rat shoot a few months back to edit, perhaps I'll make my commentary debut! :hmm:
