Richie10
Hi, Used to belong to the South Lincolnshire wildfowlers and never got the opportunity to get under any. Does anyone know a club that would let me go out for the day on them or anyone that would allow me to join them as a guest? Obviously would pay for the day or breakfast or beers, whatever. Thanks for any help. Rich
Penelope
If I remember correctly, the Fenland WA do a permit under the BASC Wildfowling Permit Scheme. Give BASC a call and get them to send you the booklet. Hi, Used to belong to the South Lincolnshire wildfowlers and never got the opportunity to get under any. Penelope
Forgot to add, you need to be a BASC member to obtain the permit. Thanks for the help. Rich

Big Mat
Plenty of clubs on the wash that do day tickets. However getting under the geese is completely different and there are no guarantees! I doubt you get a day out "on the geese" so to speak. Richie10
There is no guarantees in wildfowling at all! I know that but being in the general area where they are might help me and being with someone with some local knowledge helps even just finding your way over the marsh. When I was in the South Lincs I never got to go out with anyone to show me the marsh so much of the time I was wandering around not knowing access points, walk ways etc. Might well join them again at some point. I will try the permit scheme even just to see a different marsh.
fenboy
I would think there will be some vacancies in Holbeach and district wildfowlers for next season and being the friendly bunch they are someone will be more than willing to show you the ropes They shoot the same marsh as south lincs anyway . Goose wise you will have pretty much missed the boat for this season I fear.

Hello mate, I have been in SLWC for about 4 seasons and have been inundated with folks willing to take me out on different marshes, its me that has not been able to get out for one reason or another, there are lots of "locals" in the club that would take you out and show you around. Goose wise you will have pretty much missed the boat for this season I fear. You may well be right. I have found that the pinks can normally disappear for a little while around this time. That's the reason I made a bit of hay while the sun shone. I've put in a lot of flights this season. Saying that, I did get a pink just over a week ago and I didn't see many. There doesn't always have to be thousands around to shoot some. The pinks could come back in force, yet. Fingers crossed.

I've had two chances so far this season and both times i shot like an idiot. I dare say there will be a few more chances over the rest of the season, the geese are temporarily missing but not gone! fenboy
Well the 82,000+ still about don't tell me the chances have gone. As Craig stated some are still turning up.Also last week I had 6 Pinks off two different Marshes. I was not telling You the chances are gone , I was telling someone else that PERHAPS their chance had gone if they joined the club this year on the marsh I am shooting How long did it take you to count that 82000 + ? , I would have got fed up after a 100 or so All coming off of Club Marshes that do Day Tickets. And sorry but I ain't naming the Clubs do to the lets just say after the ear bashing I've had for naming places. But I know there are members on here who know where these Pinks are in these numbers. So why are you commenting on a thread where someone is asking for help if you are not prepared to offer any ? Naming a club is not naming a place is it ?
