To be fair we don't know everything. I doubt any copper will ever get convicted for this sort of thing, right or wrong it makes a mockery of our Law and our justice system.

Lets face it if it happened in Afgan and he (the firearms officer) was a soldier the Killer (sorry shooting an unarmed man, not presenting a clear threat that's what they are) would be serving time. This will start a fuss and it will haunt the Met for many years like Waldawf did, still the first copper that gets convicted and we are going to be seriously lacking in armed response personnel- that don't make it Ok though, drug dealer / gangster etc. just like executing Taliban isn't the done thing

On the grass over the fence where the taxi stopped.

It is alleged that he was involved with a murder in the past and was most certainly a drug dealing low life, and not just the odd bag of weed, a career criminal. Good riddance!!

Let's wait for the next lot of gangsta rioting.

I thought they found it in a sock down the road?

This case stinks almost as bad as the Met's shooting of de Menezes.

The "Facts" presented are that two officers at less than 10 yards clearly identified a pistol which was drawn from Duggan's waist band and levelled at them. One officer proceeded to fire one shot. Duggan was not instantly incapacitated and retained the pistol so was shot a second time which proved fatal. The officers immediately approached Duggan to secure the weapon which had now disappeared. It later reappeared 20 feet away, in a sock, the other side of a railing. There is a video recorded from a nearby apartment which appears to show just how miraculous their "find" was.

This lawful killing verdict conveniently makes a repeat riot less likely which is one saving grace but it is also a terrible error of impunity.

Interesting how most people ( especially our good selves who use firearms a lot) have not been shot at by police. No smoke without fire as they say.

Well actually they have shot a large amount of complete innocents thinking they were someone else or the object they had was something else and also their own guys.
