j-c
Had my interview yesterday for my shotgun cert. with a very friendly and helpful firearms officer. Went very well and he's happy to process my application! I'm very pleased, especially as I was a little concerned about my cabinet positioning. Very keen to get a shotgun lined up! Hesketh
Cheers guys. Yeah I imagine I might take a bit of a hit this year with shooting regularly! Worth it though. Also new to this game, could I make the suggestion that you don't count or ever add it up how much you spend on this game.
The Mighty Prawn
Also new to this game, could I make the suggestion that you don't count or ever add it up how much you spend on this game. More importantly, don't forget the spousal 10% rule ie divide the cost of everything by ten when you report how much you're spending! johnphilip
my interview last nearly 2 hours , about 30 minutes on the shotgun, and the rest talking about sea fishing . oh and 3 cups of tea
steve_b_wales
I've had my shotgun certificate for 40+ years and my firearm one for 30+. I've bought 'one or two' firearms during this time, plus I've spent 'a few bob' on the many accessories that I needed. I don't regret anything though. claycrasher
Well done mate, you should have that Cert dropping through the door in about 10 days, then it just buying the gun or guns.

HDAV
baikal is a good gun, tank proof,Indeed and very handy on Salisbury plain...... They are short and don't fit a lot people, whatever you go for make sure it fits and then make sure you shoot it before parting with the cash. j-c
Thanks again for advice and tips. Getting a shoot in next weekend so going to have a look then. Hopefully going to get out more regularly when my SGC comes through. Just shot clays so far but will possibly get some rough and geese shooting later in the year - need to get my practice in!
