figgy
According to reports in the news, a perimeter alarm triggered with higher than normal radiation level. Most workers are leaving the site and others told not to go to work as investigations take place as to what's caused it. Allways a worry when you see what happens when these plants go wrong like in Japan. I know that was due to a tsunami and not plant failiure but still far reaching when things go tits up. Hope it's sorted soon. Will we ever know the amount of radiation released? Figgy Edited January 31, 2014 by figgy

four-wheel-drive
We're supposed to have forgotten W******** by now. When choosing a new name you would have thought that they could have found a better one like Daisy Lane something that makes you have good thoughts not a dark hole under a building. Kes
The suggestion is that the radiation levels were 'natural', whatever that means. Interesting to look at the cancer figures for the area, particularly Leukemia.

Figgy He cant believe that no terrorist organisation has infiltrated the compounds and blew the silos up, or crashed a plane into the nuclear storage units. Now that would be a disaster which needed very little planning!

kdubya
That's all we joe public ever get, if we even get that much. Figgy problem is, and as this forum proves joe public usually does not have the knowledge or savvy to actually understand all or perhaps any information given, to most here 2x2 = 6! so sometimes nowt said really is best said.
