magman
After working Saturday and taking the lad out Sunday to have a bit of time on his other hobby Mx Finished work at 1pm and headed home to get the gun out in the sunshine , thought i would travel light and just take the gun , game bag and shells as the birds seem shy of the decoys at the moment . Got into position for 2.05 pm a small opening in a 10 ft wide hedge with a ditch in the middle , so no hide needed . The shooting wasn't to be straight forward though as the branches made some interesting and exciting shooting Walked a lot of birds off on entering the field of rape and waited over 30 mins before the birds started to return but for the next hour the sport steadily picked up and had my last shot at 3.45 pm as i had to be home for 5 pm . After picking up all i could manage to retrieve as i left the dogs at home ( thick 10 ft wide hawthorn hedge is not nice and my legs are cut to bits ) Finished the day on 27 wood-pigeon's for 44 shot's (21 picked and in photo) But to be fair i haven't shot this gun for a few year's but will now become my pigeon gun as it's so fast to load and great fun to shoot all i took with me today and the bag below Thanks for looking and may your barrels be warm Regards MM

Rimfireboy
Well done magman, good write up fella. Used to do a bit of informal motocrossing myself. I let a lad have a go on my 440 Maico and he landed it in a tree for me, said it was a bit quicker than he expected, lol...
