Anth6568
Thinking about it, but not started yet. It will be soon though!
fenboy
Nope not started making cartridges , nor will I . Eley lightning / Gamebore mamouth are as good as I will ever need and at a cheap enough price that I can see little point in reloading ! Konnie
thought yesterday 4 months and back to the mud paddling gamebore mammoth for me for everything out there.
Big Mat
Not started on the cartridges properly yet, been messing around trying to get the loader perfect. Fenboy you'll have to pattern one of my loads with that new choke of yours and see if its any better than gamebore/eley, probably wont be though! wildfowler.250
Just had a quick check to see that I'm off for some of September but plenty to do between now and then. Don't think the wildfowling really kicks off till at least mid October/November though.

anser2
Strangford wildfowler you never fully recover from goose fever, a couple of ounces of BBs help for a while but the effects soon wear off and the only answer is to get back on the marsh. Richie10
Eaten Canada's take alright, Not had pinks, wouldn't shoot them if I wasn't going to eat, People moan about Shovelers, right preparation taste fine. Had teal that taste of fish before, just need soaking in salt water.
kent
All fowl mirror what they have been eating. Dabblers like Mallard and Pintail can taste pretty rank when they have been sifting those tiny snails but great when they have been on seed and vegetation. Canada are far darker meat and taste far stronger than Pinks or Greys (at least that's the way around me)I use Canada as more a beef substitute as regards the recipes, it makes a better, drier less fatty alternative with taste Not really started on plans for the new season yet. Besides working on a few small issues with the dog that cropped up I have yet to even sort, clean and re-paint/repair the decoys. I have enough non toxic shells to start a war and the 10 ga is having a total re-furb, overhaul and re-blue. Myself I am getting my shoulder fixed so I can at least shoot up to scratch again (operation due in a few days). Hand loads for the 12 are not honestly worth the time, effort or expense for the amount I use and my requirement, I only load for the ten as its the only practical way of getting what I want when I want it. If your bored there is much to be done on this GL nonsense.
Penelope
I hope the op goes well. My fowling will be limited to the odd BASC permit day and a couple of auction lots this season as last. Not having, or being in the position to have a dog is really limiting and a bind. All fowl mirror what they have been eating. I had a season without and did a lot of bird watching with a gun as a result, the season after wasn't much better with a young dog lacking in experience I lost a few beyond its pay grade (a crippled goose that escaped into some dense rushes and a wood) and (a widgeon that fell dead on the other side of a big dangerous channel in full flow 150 yards from were it was hit)
Penelope
Live alone and I'm out of the house for 12 hours of the day, Monday to Friday, so not fair to have a hound cooped up. Not having a dog is extremely limiting for coastal fowling, poor light, water, etc, etc.
