aga man
Just seen a new video with george digweed shooting pigeons. He appears to be using 34gm no5 :o http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3jge3o0qPXw
mick miller
It reminds me a lot of the way I shoot, only in reverse.
JDog
Most PW members could have shot those pigeons.
fenboy
Most PW members could have shot those pigeons. Some pigeon watch members could have talked them out of the sky , some could have shot them and some could have told George where he was going wrong. Others could have told him to buy a gun that fits , what shot size to use or not to use and what speed of cartridge was suitable for his gun , he is missing out on so much not being a member on here !!!!!!!!!!!!!! rich1985
The man is remarkable but on this particular video none of them pigeons were beyond the skill of pw members I wouldn't think! Great video though, love the slow motion shots of the shot hitting the birds.
JDog
So sorry, Fenboy could have shot those pigeons whilst the rest of us looked on in admiration.
Berettacocker
They were easy birds, also easy to miss at times. When you watch George regularly killing crows ( doubles too ) at 60+ yards! you see why he uses 34gm 5s! Don't suppose he envisaged such easy shooting, otherwise he would have probably shot them with a 9mm garden gun! Don't spose we'd criticize him then. He's beatable on his off days, but don't think I'll live forever! :(

belly47
as he said in the video he wanted to pick all the birds he shot and not leave any, hence why he was shooting them where he could collect them. a topic that has been discussed vigorously recently on PW

He only shot 135 , thats nothing compared to your recent exploits JDog , you should be chasing a sponsorship deal !

Scully
Enjoyed that. I love that puff of chaff when you connect with a pigeon; even more so in slow mo.

The man is truly gifted also one of the greatest ambassadors the sport has ever know . Well said stevo. Having met the man in the flesh once before i can also vouch for the fact , he is a true gent, a real gem in the english crown. My original post certainly wasn't a crticizm in any way, i was just suprised that such a heavy load shell was used at what seemed fairly close range. There's no doubt however these are his favourite shell out in the field and i'm sure he has an endless supply foc.

Guest stevo
I can remember many many yrs ago I used to shoot at the same club every other weekend with him ( kingsferry gun club ) . This was my local club . This was when he was up and coming . No one had a bad word to say about him . Always good for a laugh . Just a good stright up nice bloke . And VERY approachable . yickdaz
an ounce of shot through a 20 bore would of cleanly killed them pigeons that's not a dig at diggers just an observation I agree with aga man he gets his carts for nothing so he can pick and choose what he shoots and to be honest if you look at most of his other vids the birds he takes on and brings down he needs them pigeon extreme through tight chokes
Berettacocker
I've shot duck with him and 4 others on a farm reservoir in essex we shot about 140 mallard and wigeon between us. He was using a 3 shot semi and a beretta ou, and he had 5 ducks dead in the air, at least 3 times during the flight ( without a loader! ) thought I was seeing things ! Catweazle
Would you have the confidence to shoot No5 shot with that huge solar farm just the other side of the field ? I think I'd have bottled it.

I think I'd have bottled it. The shot wouldn't harm the panels at that range, just think how hard large hail stone will hit them, falling shot would never be a problem.
